I came home tired from my choir practice and as I open this notebook, I felt the urge to sing. So, I sang again. Not for myself but for God.
My throat hurts but if I would do something for the Lord, I will completely do it.
Well I heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
Well it goes like this: the fourth, the fifth
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing HallelujahHallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
I really like that song. My choir teacher used to sing it for the first time and I fell in love with her lips.
As I sing my heart out, I feel light. I feel like I am floating. I can sense that there is someone in my room but I do not know who. I cannot see it. I just know.
I opened my lips and it began to sing again.
Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the HallelujahHallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
I grabbed my Bible and began to read a scripture.
"Sing for joy in the LORD, O you righteous ones; Praise is becoming to the upright. Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre; Sing praises to Him with a harp of ten strings. Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy." Psalm 33:1-3
After reading, my lips began to sing the Hallelujah song again.
