(Y/N) POV

I saw Eragon and Saphira step outside of the room. We joined them and started to walk back the way we came from. "Did everything go well? Were you welcomed kindly?" Eragon scratched the back of his neck. "I think so. But your king is careful", he said. "Otherwise he wouldn't have lived for so long." Eragon glanced towards Saphira.
We arrived below the Isidar Mithrim in the middle of Tronjheim as Orik started to speak. "After your blessing yesterday the whole Varden is buzzing like a fallen beehive. The child that Saphira touched is praised as a future hero. She and her guardian have been moved to the best rooms. Everyone is talking about your "miracle". Every mother seems to have decided to find you and make you bless their children." Eragon widened his eyes in "fear" and started to look around worriedly. "What are we going to do?" "Except for undoing he past?" Orik asked. "Stay out of sight as much as possible. No one is allowed to enter the dragons nest, so no one can bother you there."

Saphira had left the two of us to go to the nest while we went with Orik to the library. When we entered the library it was full of bookshelves and holders for scrolls. There were small tables in there as well. The only thing I could do was stare in my loss of words. "This is our kinds true gift to the afterworld", Orik said. "It's in here were the writings of our biggest kings and taught ones are kept, from ancient times to now. There are also our craftsmen's songs and tales written here. This library is probably the most precious thing we own. But everything is not our work alone - there are also writings by humans here. Your kind is short-lived but hard-working. From the elves we have very little or none. They jealously guard their secrets." "How long can we stay here?" Eragon asked as he started to walk towards the shelves. "As long as you would like to. Come to me if you have any questions." Eragon and I separated to look around I the library and read whatever we found.

Eragon (POV)

I kept on looking through the books with huge interest as I switched from one book to the other. When I started reading I felt my heart sink as I realized that it was very difficult to read. I went from book to book as I kept on going through the library. I soon lost myself in a translation of the tenth dwarven king Dóndars poems. As I read them trough I heard unknown footsteps behind the bookshelf. I had almost thought it was (Y/N)'s, but the they didn't have the same footstep pattern as they walked. I immediately went still and listened, which caused me to scold myself for being so ridiculous - of course I wasn't alone in the library. I silently put the book back in the shelf and with all my senses on edge for danger. I had gotten in ambushes too often since I ignored those feelings. I heard the footsteps once again, only this time it came from two persons. I slipped out between two shelves and tried desperately to remember where either Orik or (Y/N) had gone off to. I walked sideways around a corner and jumped back when I realised that I was standing face to face with the Twins.
The Twins stood shoulder to shoulder with no expression on their faces. I could feel their black gaze cut into me. I could see their hands twitching even if they were hidden in their sleeves. Both of them bowed, but it was made in a mocking way. "We have been looking for you", one of them said. His voice sounded like the ra'zacs in a very creepy way. I pressed down the chills. "Why?" I reached out with my mind towards Saphira.
"Since your meeting with Ajihad we have wanted to... apologise for our actions." The words were mocking, but not in a way that I could put my finger on it. "We are here to show you our respect." I felt my face starting to burn in anger when they bowed again.
'Careful!' Saphira said. I pushed down my anger. I couldn't let myself become mad due to this meeting. I got an idea and started to talk. "On the contrary, it should be me who's showing you my respect. Without your approval I would never have been allowed to enter Farthen Dûr." I bowed to them and tried to make it as offensive as possible. I could see the irritation flare up in their eyes, but they smiled and said: "You honour us with something so... meaningful... as thinking so good about us. For these nice words we owe you." I felt myself become irritated now. "I shall remember that in a moment of distress." Saphira pushed herself straight into my mind.
'You're exaggerating. Don't say anything that you will regret. They will put every word in their memory to use it against you.'
