CHERYL's POINT OF VIEW
SHEMAR's HOUSE"Finally you're here." Shemar said as he opened the door for me.
"I'm sorry, I had to go home after Ciyle's basketball game and stuff. At least I'm here." I said as I hugged Shemar and lightly kissed his cheek. He hugged me tightly back.
"You look good." He said as he closed the front door and looked me up and down.
"Thank you." I said as I moved my hair out of my face and waited for him to guide me to where everybody else was.
"Where is everybody?" I asked him as I realized that the house was silent.
"Uhm, they're not here yet. It's just us. Like old times." He said as he touched my shoulder and we both walked into the kitchen.
"You hungry?" He asked as he tapped on the kitchen counter.
"Uhmmm, no. Not really." I said as I looked around and put my purse down.
"Wine?" He asked me. I held back a smile.
"Sure." I said as our eyes connected.
"Ah, I knew it. You need it don't you." He said as he chuckled and took down two wine glasses.
"Yes, I do. These kids are a handful. Cai is working on this art stuff, Ciyle is trying to be a big boy and get into sports and then there's Tony on me about having another baby. How much can a woman take?" I said as I shook my head. "Why isn't Lorah here?" I asked him as I watched him pour the wine.
"She went to go grab something to make for dinner, I guess." He said as he handed me my wine.
"Thanks." I said as I took a sip.
"No problem."
"So, he's still on you about the baby, huh?" He asked me as he stood next to me and watched me sip on my wine. He then took a sip of his own."Yeah but I told him no." I said as I sat the glass down on the counter and slightly moved it back and forth as I lightly moved the remainder of the wine in the glass.
"I told Lorah that once we get married- I want a baby too." He said. I looked up at him.
"Oh..." I said as I then took another sip of my wine.
"Yeah. She said that she wanted to figure out the first name if we did have a child and so, I'm taking the middle name. Guess what I would make the middle name if I were to have a girl?" He asked me.
"What?" I asked him as I turned to look at him.
"Cheryl- Ann" He said as a smile grew on his face.
"You-....really?" I said as my face lit up.
"No doubt." He said. I rushed to put my wine glass down and hugged him so tightly. He hugged me back. "It's perfect." He said while still holding me.
"That's so sweet of you to do." I told him as I stopped hugging him.
"You're my best friend. Why wouldn't I do it?" He said as he lightly laughed.
"I-....I don't know." I said as I started to laugh nervously.
"You're so cute when you laugh." He said as he touched my chin and pulled my head up so that he could look me in the eye.
"You've told me before."
"And I mean it." He said and it made me blush. He then reached down to grab my hand. I looked at our hands touching and how much I missed his touch. I then found this to be a little inappropriate- especially with how he was looking at me right now. The same look He gave me when he told me 10 years ago that he wanted me. That next year he moved away- didn't see him for 9 years after that. I slowly removed my hand from his hand.
