SHEMAR's POINT OF VIEW

"Come on you two...it's just a joke." I said as I laughed and looked at them.

At least I wasn't the only person laughing In the room.

"Again...Congrats." I said as I raised my glass.  "To your...healthy baby." I added.

I saw that Cheryl had said something to Tony. Tony said something back and nodded his head. I sipped on my drink as I watched them whisper to each other closely.

"Well...now that you guys know the great news. Thank you for coming and you guys can hang out for a while if you want. We have refreshments available and we want you all to know that your presence is very, very appreciated." Tony said as he put on a smile for the entire room.

Cheryl made her way over towards me. She looked so upset. Upset was an understatement but she's still really cute when she's upset.

"Hey, baby." I said as I smiled at her.

"Get out." She harshly whispered to me.

"Get out? Why would I leave?....huh, baby?" I asked her as I looked down at her. "This is your sweet gathering for your husband and the announcement of the two of you having a baby, right? I deserve to be here." I told her with a straight face.

"No, you don't. Especially after what JOKE you just pulled." She said as she pointed towards the door.

"Well, Excuse me and my "joke". I'm not leaving. That's my baby." I said as I pointed towards her stomach. "If you don't tell him the truth? I will. I'm not about to let another nigga think that MY child is his. You disrespected me when you told him that it was, Cheryl. You really did..." I told her.

"Leave. Now." She told me as she looked around and made sure that nobody was listening to us.

I sighed and pulled her into the hallway once more. I was tired of whispering.

"You've got some nerve, Cheryl. TELL HIM!" I yelled at her.

"I will but YOU'RE the one who's acting dumb right now. You basically just told him yourself!" She said to me.

"No, I didn't. That's my baby, Cheryl. You want me to sit back and be okay with him thinking that it's his? Now THAT...is some bull. You know me well enough to know that I won't let this ride out, baby girl. Not on my damn watch."  I told her.

"I told you that I'm gonna tell him, alright? THIS gathering wasn't what I wanted. I tried to tell him that we didn't need to do it but he did. Plus, once I came home- he accused me of being unfaithful to him so, I HAD to tell him something. Pretty much just adding on to all of the lies you and I have been telling." She slightly yelled at me.

"Keep your voice down!" I told her. "Why do you have to be so difficult? We could have been told this man the truth, however- you wanted to con-....well, actually I'm the one who was enjoying us sneaking around because it was fun...I'll admit that. But, I want you. I wanted you 9 years ago too..." I told her.

"You act like I don't know that." She said.

I stood there looking at her for a moment.
