CAI's POINT OF VIEW
I had just made it to school and the first place that I went to was my locker. Somebody came up behind me and tickled me.
"Aye!" I said as I laughed and turned around. It was Demetrius of course. "Don't do that." I said as I shook my head and turned back towards my locker.
"Anyways, word around school is that you're the shit." He said as he leaned against the lockers next to mines. I looked at him.
"What do you mean?"
"You acted your ass off the other day. Everybody is digging it...a lot. They said that they would be surprised if you didn't get the main part." He explained to me.
I shrugged my shoulders. "Acting isn't my passion. Art is." I said as I closed my locker and started to walk towards my class. "This was an experiment- just to see if I was good or not. I'm JUST okay. I mean, now that I auditioned- it's over. I'm not taking the part even if I do get the lead." I said as we both walked beside each other.
"What? Cai, you've gotta take it! You were bomb! You're a natural." He said as he grabbed my free hand. I shook my head.
"Last night when I told my parents- they barely cared. I don't really care either. It's just acting. We can all act." I said as I shrugged my shoulders once more.
"No, Cai! Everybody can't act like YOU! Were you not there in your own body yesterday?! You didn't feel not one thing?" He asked me. I thought to myself and looked at him.
"Maybe a little but just because you feel something, it doesn't mean that you should act on it. I like to create! Ever since I was 3, Art has always been my outlet. I'm in love with it." I told him.
"Okay. I see. I understand as well. Look, let's go see if they posted it, Okay?" He said as he touched my arm.
"I'm gonna be late for class." I told him as I pointed in the direction of my classroom.
"No, you won't. Come on." He said as we turned towards the opposite direction and walked towards the performing arts center.

"Here's the list." He said as he pointed at the bulletin board.
"Okay. Go look." I said as I pushed him.
"No! You go look! I didn't audition." He said as he looked back at me.
"Ugh. Fine." I said as I walked towards it. I was low key nervous.
I scanned over the list...
Nope.
"I didn't make it." I said as I turned towards him. "Told you. I'm not good at acting." I said as I left and went to class.
"You're kidding me?!" He said as he ran after me.
"Nope, go and look for yourself. I told you." I said as I lightly rolled my eyes and continued walking.
