CHERYL's POINT OF VIEW

Today;

Cai was coming home for good.

It's been a few days since I've spoken to Shemar. I've just had so much on my mind and I feel as if I'm ready to tell Tony. Maybe I should....

Or maybe I shouldn't.

Or maybe I should....

Or maybe....I shouldn't.

After Cai came home, she went straight upstairs to get dressed and then came back down.

We were all going to Ciyles second basketball practice. He wanted us to come and see what he could do.

It wasn't a game but...he still loves to see us all together as a family coming together for him.

I liked it.

"Look, he's getting better when it comes to dribbling with his left hand." Tony pointed out.

"Yeah, I agree." I said as I watched Ciyle dribble down the court. They were switching hands.

"He told me that he practices at school during recess. He loves to play.....I know that for sure. Maybe I should help him more often; just to perfect some more things. What do you think?" Tony asked as we both kept our eyes on him.

"That's a good idea." I said as I nodded my head and looked at him.

"Yeah." He then said.

Next, I looked at Cai whom was sitting next to me. She had her head in her phone and payed no attention to anybody around her. Not a surprise.

That's when I spotted something horrifying.

I saw marks peeking out from under her sleeve.

I quickly grabbed her left arm and pulled her sleeve up to examine her wrist and arm.

Her entire arm was filled with cuts.

"What are you doing?" She quickly asked me as she tried to yank her arm away from me.

"Cai...." I said as I covered my mouth with my other hand and looked at her arm. "Why are you doing this to yourself?" I asked her. "Tony...look." I said as I looked at him.

He leaned forward and looked at her arm.

"What the hell?" Tony said as he looked at her arm and then at me.

She then yanked her arm away from me and pulled her sleeve down.

"Don't worry about me. You never have before so don't start now." She told us.

"Cai, why are you doing this?" I rushed to say.

"Cai, you shouldn't be doing this. Answer your Mother." Tony remarked.

"Ma knows why." She said as she looked at me. She then stood up and left out of the bleachers.

I looked at Tony.
