CAI's POINT OF VIEW
After rehearsals that day, Ma came to pick me up. I just got into the car and hoped that she wouldn't ask me how my day went.
However;
"How did it go today, baby girl?" She asked me as I buckled up.
Fuck.
"Uh, Fine." I said as I shot her a fake smile. "Very good, actually." I added as I nodded my head.
"That's good. Did rehearsals go smoothly? You know that the first show is in a few weeks, right?" She asked as she started to drive.
"Oh, yes ma'am. I do and it went okay. I'm just tired and it's late. Plus, I have to finish up a few assignments from class today. Im trying not to get behind." I said as I laid my head back and took a deep breath.
She looked over at me for a moment. When it comes to Moms; they know everything. I felt as if she could see through me and my lies.
I felt beyond fucked up.

The Next Day At School
While walking down the hallway, Demetrius caught up to me.
"Caiya. Why haven't you been talking to me?" He asked me.
"Maybe because you've been too busy letting Darleen fuck you?" I said as I looked at him.
"What? I barely even know Darleen! Plus, why would I have sex with her? What are you talking about?" He asked me.
"Yesterday, she told me that you and her did some things. Why did you tell her about my parents? I didn't want her to know!" I said as we stopped walking and stood facing each other in the middle of the hallway.
"She asked! This was before everything went down. She was your friend and I thought you trusted her!" He said as he started to get upset.
"DONT...you ever tell my business to anybody else. I thought that I could trust you too but I can see that you're an ass too. Leave me alone, I'm going through enough shit right now." I said as I looked at him and then walked away.
I didn't need a nigga to add onto my frustrations.
I didn't want anybody to know who my parents were. I wanted to be treated equally and no differently than everybody else. Yeah, both of my parents act and sing but- sometimes who they are can drag in people who shouldn't be in my life. Desperate people. Now, Darleen knows and it adds onto the jealousy and hatred that she has for me. Everything turned on me when I wasn't even paying attention. Like I said, everybody trusts Darleen and so, I thought that I could trust her too. She called me her best friend, acted as if she cared and she showed me some form of kindness that is now obviously beyond fake. I'll give this to her; she fucking fooled me. She acted her ass off while she was my "best friend". If you can go far as to hurting your own self? Yeah, she played her part.
As I walked down the hallway, people started to stare at me and I looked around at the different facial expressions they were giving me.
