CHERYL's POINT OF VIEW
Ciyle's Last Basketball game
1:36 p.m- Saturday evening"Shemar, my baby is gonna be really happy that you came." I said as him, Tony, Cai and I all sat down in the bleachers.
"I'm happy that he wanted me to come. Can the little dude play?" He asked me as he took off his sunglasses.
"Oh yeah. Definitely." Tony said as he leaned forward and looked over at Shemar.
"I can't wait to see this." Shemar said as he rubbed his hands together.
The game started and I yelled out Ciyle's name and took a few pictures. I'm so proud of him.
"Hey- my mom said that she can't wait to see you. She asked me so many questions about how you've been and much more. She likes you a lot." Shemar said as he elbowed me lightly.
"Really? I miss her a lot. Haven't seen her in a while." I said as I smiled and looked back at the court. Ciyle was put into the game and he started to get to his proper spot.
"Yeah. You'll see her today. You are coming over today, right?" He asked me as we both kept our eyes on the game.
"Yes."
"Good."
We all cheered as Ciyle started to make a couple of point and he actually looked like he was enjoying himself. I'm happy that he's involved in something that is active. Both of my children are always involved in something.
After they won the game- Ciyle ran over towards us and hugged my neck first. I laughed and congratulated him.
"Look, Ma- we got metals and everything." He said as he smiled and held it up so that we all could see.
"Thanks great, baby. We're so proud of you." I said as I grabbed a towel from his gym bag and patted his sweaty forehead. He was breathing hard and getting excited. Next, he hugged Tony and Tony gave him some more words that made him feel even better after his accomplishment.
I just smiled the entire time because I knew how happy this made his feel.
"Dad, can you get me a Gatorade from the concession stand?" Ciyle asked Tony.
"Sure, I'll be back." Tony said as he stood up and walked away.
"Good job, Ciyle." Cai said as she got up to go with Tony as well.
"Thanks." He said as he looked back at Shemar and I.
"I'm so proud of you, Ciyle. You did so, so good." Shemar said as they both gave each other some dap.
"I didn't think that you would come." Ciyle said as I wiped his face again.
"Buddy, why wouldn't I come? I couldn't miss your big game!" Shemar said as he rubbed the top of Ciyle's curly headed hair.
"Alright, son. Here's your Gatorade." Tony said as he came back and handed it to him.
"We've gotta get your hair cut today, man. Your hair grows fast. What you wanna do to it? Keep it the same? Just the sides cut down again, leave the curls at the top and get a shape up?" Tony asked him.Ciyle nodded his head and said "Uhmmm hmm." While he took a sip of his Gatorade and held thumbs up.
"Alright." Tony said. "You guys ready to go? Cheryl, I know that you've gotta go with Shemar, right? I guess I'll take Cai with me and Ciyle." Tony told me.
"No, Ma- can I come with you." Cai said as she looked over at me.
"Uh- I-...gotta ask Shemar. It is his house, you know." I said as I looked over at Shemar.
