CHERYL's POINT OF VIEW

You would think that since I have a new job, new personal office, not having to work long hours and so much more included into it all- that I would be happy to go to work. Well, that's not the case considering that my boss acts like an awkward ass and doesn't know when to just stop....now does he? However, this is my job and I'm gonna keep it professional.

I knew that I had to pass Mr. Lewis' office just to get to my own. I had just arrived and looking down the hallway- I just rolled my eyes.

"Please don't call me into your office today. I don't have the time nor the patience." I whispered to myself as I started walking down the hallway and sipped on my coffee at the same time.

I rushed to walk past his office and I thought that I had succeeded until...

"CHERYL!" I heard Mr. Lewis yell.

"Damnit." I said as I stopped walking, turned around and slowly walked into his office. Once I did so, I saw the most cutest little girl standing next to him behind his desk. She smiled a warm smile at me and slightly waved.

She had this smooth mocha skin tone, long braided hair, dark brown eyes that were behind some glasses and she had clearly visible freckles that were spread across her pretty little face.

"I wanted you to meet my little girl; Parker." He said as he looked over at Parker and smiled.

"Hi, Parker. Nice to meet you, I'm Cheryl." I told her. I then looked down at my coffee and the back over towards the both of them.

"Hi, Cheryl." Parker said in a sweet voice. She reminds me of when my baby girl Cai was Little.

"She wanted to come to work with me today to see what all I did and so, I did." He told me as he then kissed her on her forehead. How sweet.

"How old are you, Parker?" I asked her as I then sat down and crossed my legs.

She looked at Mr. Lewis and then started smiling at me really hard.

"Five." She said in a shy voice. I laughed a little and nodded my head.

"You remind me so much of when my baby girl was little. Now, she's older." I told her.

"How old is she?" She asked me.

"She's 16. Soon to be 17 years old."

"Oh. She's old." Parker said as she giggled a little bit.

I laughed a little. "Then I must be really, really old if you think that 16 is an old age." I told her.

"Here. I drew this for my Daddy's friends at work." She said as she picked up a piece of paper from Lewis' desk and made her way around it to give to me. I watched her as she walked towards me. She gave me a drawing of a little girl and some flowers.

I examined it and a smile grew on my face. "You drew this?" I asked her. She nodded her head and looked at the drawing with me.

"Daddy thought that you would like this one since it has flowers on it. Do you like it?" She asked me. I looked at her.
