CHERYL's POINT OF VIEW

The Lord knows that if I could drink some wine right now...I would. The next morning I woke up feeling sick. Not because of the baby but because of the lies that I've been telling.

I feel so disgusted about myself because telling one man that you're pregnant but with another man's child is not...cute.

However, I had an doctors appointment to go to with Shemar.

——————————-

"What's wrong?" Shemar asked me as we waited for the nurse to come in and do a usual checkup on me and the baby.

"Im fine. I just-...nevermind." I told him as I looked down and played with my hands.

"What is it?" He asked me as he stood in front of me and grabbed my hands.

"I'm scared." I told him as I almost started to cry.

"Baby...why are you afraid? You act like I'm not here to help you. This is your third child anyways- you know how this stuff goes." He told me.

"It's not that. It's about us telling him about...us." I said as I looked up at him.

"I know that it might be scary but trust me...I'll be there to support you. He won't touch you or do anything to make you feel bad for acting on how you feel. You love me and everything will be fine." He said as he softly kissed my lips.

"Okay." I said as I touched my stomach.

"You need to throw up? What's wrong?" He asked.

I shook my head no.

—————————

"The baby is looking very good so far, Mrs. Grant." The nurse said as she smiled at me.

"Don't call her that, please." Shemar said as he looked at the nurse with a straight face.

"...my apologies. It just says-...." she said as she looked at the clipboard but he cut her off mid Sentence.

"I KNOW what it says but just don't call her that. Cheryl would be fine." He told her.

"Shemar..." I said as I sat up and looked at him. I grabbed his hand and softly rubbed it with my other hand so that he could stop being so uptight.

"My apologies, Mr. Grant." She then said.

Shemar sighed while he looked at her.

"That's not my name." He said as his temples became hard. He wasn't having it. It was unlike him to act this way. "Ma'am, can you please hurry up? Your foolish guesses are making this appointment very....very....unpleasant for me." He said as he put his hands in his pockets.

"Baby, calm down." I told him.

"I'm calm." He said as he took a deep breath but yet his eyes on her.
