CHERYL's POINT OF VIEW
"I really do think that Bre and Cai getting together this weekend would be such a good thing. Caleb and Ciyle would also enjoy each other's company." Inaya said to me over the phone.
"I hope so. I haven't seen you in a while. Its like things are just confusing these days. I just can't believe that Tony took all of her things from her. Every time I go upstairs to check on her, she's got her head in those books. She barely even come downstairs and she barely eats. I feel like it's gonna happen again, Inaya." I told her as I sat in a chair in the backyard.
"What's gonna happen again?" She asked over the phone in a curious voice.
"Remember when she stopped talking? Well, even though that was when Tony and I argued in front of her- I'm pretty sure that things like this can make her shut down as well. I don't want her to shut down." I said in a worried voice.
"Don't worry about your baby, Cheryl. I know that she's your first born but Caiya has too much passion. Not even Tony can get in her way. She will find a way to continue to dream and that's why she needs you. You're her backbone when it comes to her dreams- Tony couldn't stop her passion even if he tried. This baby has been doing this ever since she was 3 and now she's 16....there's no stopping her. You better believe that." Inaya explained to me.
"You're right. When are you bringing my niece and nephew by?" I asked her as I stood up and fixed my shirt.
"Give me time to get their things together. You want them to spend the night?" She asked me.
"Of course I do." I said as I smiled to myself.
"Alright. See you soon." Inaya said. We then hung up and said our goodbyes.
As I made my way back inside, there was Tony.
"Who were you talkin' to?" He asked me as he looked at me. I looked at my phone and put it in my pocket.
"Uhm...just Inaya." I said as I slightly smiled at him.
"Talkin' about me, huh?" He asked as he folded his arms across his chest.
"No, baby. I was talking about Cai. You know what you did was wrong though."
"I don't like you telling people about what the hell goes on in this house, Cheryl." He said as he turned around and started walking towards our room upstairs. I followed him.
"Tony, I can talk to Inaya about anything. That's basically my sister, alright. You act like she's a stranger." I said as I watched him unbutton his shirt as we reached our room.
"You're just trying to make me look like the bad person. I DID WHAT WAS BEST FOR OUR DAUGHTER." He yelled at me. I looked at him like he was crazy. What was wrong with him?
"I don't know who you think you're yelling at but this is not what we do, Tony. We talk...not yell at each other. I feel as if this anger from you is about something more than just Cai and her artistic ability." I said as I looked at him.
He looked at me, sighed and shook his head as he looked down.
"What is it?" I asked him. He looked back up at me.
"I just wanted one. One more child." He said in a calm, upset voice. "That would make me happy. Yet, my wife doesn't want that." He said as he looked at me. I looked away from him.
That's what it was.
"I don't appreciate you making everything about you." I said as I looked down and started playing with my hands.
"Now I'm making everything about myself? Wowwww." He said as he slightly laughed and shook his head at me. He worked with his fingertips on the last button.
