A car whooshed past his eyes.
Jai, alright. But who was that with him? Not Siddhi. Not Maya.
Som kept staring till the car vanished along a turn.
----
Sonara kept staring in awe through the glass, how the planes took off and landed before her eyes.....
Jai watched her time and again, sensing an utter joy within.
Finally, he could make someone realise how beautiful the scene before him actually was.
Maya, Siddhi or Raghav never cared to visit this place. Not their fault even, Jai had never asked them to.
Som and Bhoomi did. They found nothing attractive in a machinery bird flying up and down.
But Sonara's eyes glittered. As much as his did, every single time he flied a plane or saw one flying..
" Looks like I'm watching a film..... " , Sonara exclaimed after a long time, almost sticking to the glass.
" Yeah.... An awesome feeling.... " , not of watching a movie but Jai knew the happiness she felt right now.
" I always wanted to ride a plane. When Humaira will grow up and become an officer in big offices and earn huge money, I will tell her to ride me a plane... " , Sonara softly uttered as if talking to herself.
Jai felt a notch in his heart. Once again. This happened everytime he heard Sonara say something about how she was bringing up Humaira....
He didn't at times understand what he was made of. Some unpredictable material.
" Huge office? You want her in business? " , Jai suddenly asked.
" I don't know. Just that, she has to have a lot of people calling her madam, and she will earn a lot of money in the most respectful manner ... " , Sonara said after sometime. And smiled.
" But this place is really really awesome!!!!
Who would want to work in closed chambers after flying in the sky? " , she added." ......exactly!!
I sometimes think, was I wrong in not taking up engineering? In not pursuing a line towards being a pilot?
But then I feel, whenever I'll be burdened with the duty of flying this number of times a day, and carrying the lives of this number of passengers on my shoulder, the happiness will disappear..... "Sonara looked at Jai.
" Tell me one thing. Are you afraid of taking up responsibilities? "Startling a bit, Jai frowned.
Not again.
Everyone on earth had this notion maybe. Except dad." I don't know. I've never been given a proper responsibility till date. Yet it's complained that I'm not responsible enough. "
Sonara fell silent.
And kept watching outside.
