Shetty uncle wasn't home owing to some urgent business meeting. Maids informed, he had left sometimes back to board a flight.
Som slowly placed a completely passed out Bhoomi on her bed, covering her with a quilt. She comfortably tucked herself in, closing her eyes.
Som sat on a stool beside the bed, watching her.
Her words rang through his brain,
" Take me from here Som, far from the maddening crowd. "Som could feel the corner of his eyes moisten up.
Bhoomi wasn't just his best friend's girlfriend. Bhoomi was a voluptuous eater and would almost always be seen at their confections buying this or that.
Som hardly visited, but sometimes he did. And mostly found her engrossed in filling her huge bag with snacks and sweets with a serious expression.
Som hadn't believed in love at first sight till he met Bhoomi.Bhoomi herself talked to him first. To help her bring down a sweet box kept high up. He did, she smiled. And since then they began talking. Bhoomi was chirpy but not with everyone.
Their friendship grew quite so much, that one day she even brought her boyfriend to introduce him to Som, asking him to stay at the shop at a particular time. Wasn't enough that she had a boyfriend, her boyfriend turned out to be none other than Jai Bava. He bestest school friend.
Som couldn't even fight for his love.
But he was at least happy that his friend loved her. Jai did too, really, because he was much more caring towards her back in their college days ..
Som didn't find much of a change in his behavior towards himself, but definitely a lot towards Bhoomi.
Maybe because, friendship demanded less than love..Bhoomi was no longer his lady love.
She was only a girlfriend.Or better even, an acquaintant.
Som felt extremely sad. Bhoomi deserved not a penny of this. If it was his choice, he would take Bhoomi far away and love her with all his heart.
But, the choice wasn't his.

The breakfast table looked much more serious than any other day.
Everyone was taking up their own stuffs in plates and no one looked at no one.
Jai scanned everything through the corner of his eyes. People in the house were evidently upset with each other, and like always he won't have to know the reason, because he was a kid.
Good enough. Keep me a kid and then ask of my responsibility sense.
Jai coughed.
" Dad, how can factory workers, specially women, prove dangerous to a rich man? "
Jai was thinking about last night's talk with Sonara, he couldn't really get what she meant.
Three pairs of hands and mouth stopped eating, and three pairs of eyes were now fixed on him.
Jai knew he had framed an awkward question.
" Errm.... " , he kept staring at Raghav.
" Didn't really get what you are talking. " , Raghav still stared, while Siddhi and Maya went back to eating.
" It's alright. " , Jai withdrew.
Siddhi next coughed and began,
" I've something to say, Jai. "And was immediately intervened by Raghav,
" We can discuss this after dinner, free handedly, because it's an important issue. Not something to be leisurely discussed at breakfast. "
