" I can handle myself Jai! I would never get in that car of yours. "
Sonara complained badly.
" I'm sorry, but I cannot let you go unsecured everyday. I will drop you a distance away from the confectionery. " , Jai shrugged.
With a gourd face, Sonara got in while Jai started the car.
" I don't like how you are spending the day doing something or the other for me. Yesterday too you had to pamper Humaira. I insisted to bring her along today, but how rigid are you!?
I'm asking you I don't need this security to my workplace and all, but you... "
" Over and out. I'm not here to listen to your blabber. I love Humaira and don't irritate me by reminding what huge thing I did for her. " , Jai faked anger.
" And listen. I spend the day as and how I wish. If I want to spend it for a baby and her mother, no one has the right to question me about that. "Sonara couldn't help smiling.
" You are such a kid. " , she talked.
" And don't you think you are too old for your age, granny? "
Sonara burst out laughing.
Jai didn't however.
Because his brains really began wondering, when was the last time his life revolved this much around a single person.
When was the last time, he broke barriers of convenience, way beyond his self centered world..._____
Sonara took Humaira in her lap. The baby was extremely happy to see her mother after such a long time. Sonara could feel her eyes sparkle. She rubbed them off secretly, in order to not look silly.
Jai had come to pick her up from the confectionery as promised . And he had brought Humaira along.
" So, if your silent cry is done with, are we going home? Or somewhere else? " , Jai asked Sonara.
Sonara stared surprised at him. And felt ashamed within. How did he notice?
" Where do you wish to go now? " , she spoke slowly.." Okay fine. We will go home then. " , Jai quickly started the car.
" No.... I won't mind going somewhere else... "
Jai smiled wide.
Their car stopped at Worli Sea Face.
They got down. Sonara carried Humaira in her lap.
They walked together towards the bridge and stood facing the sea. The beautiful blue sea looked so calm and serene, that it soothed them to the core.
" So beautiful..... " , Sonara whispered.
The breeze swiped over their face. Calming them down.
" Jai..... May I say something? " , Sonara said.
" Why even are you asking? Go ahead. "
" My life had never been so beautiful.
It feels like a dream, since I met you.
And I don't regret telling you that. I don't know if you would even want to listen to these, but you are one of the most meaningful humans that has ever happened to me.
You often consider yourself worthless. But you hardly know your worth to me. You might not even consider me a friend, but you truly appear to be the greatest friend I could have in my needs...
Mumbai was never heartwarming or welcoming to me. Until you took me to places and people that seemed heavenly.
I never considered relations worthy, after what I had in life.
