Not a breath left a lung in the vastness of the living room.
Raichand mansion seemed dead. Lifeless. Doomed.

Jai stood at the window, a distance away. Staring at the blankness of the sky that emitted a black discoloration.
His head hurt. His eyes blurred out.

Sonara stood like a stone in the middle, upon rehearing the entire story, that had once brought shivers down her spine. And had thrown her into whirls of emotions, that had almost confirmed, that she had indulged into an impossible love story.
Yet, she hadn't backed out. Because of the immense love she held for the man.

Siddhi Raichand sat holding her head, on the sofa, staring at the ground.

And Maya was seated on the ground, like a ruined sculpture, leaning against the sofa.

After a long, unbearable moment, she spoke again,
" When I got back to senses, it was morning.
I found myself neatly placed on my own bed, the blanket fully covering me, the AC at its best, and sunlight pouring through the cracks of the heavy curtain.

I shot up, when Farhan's face hit my brains. I found mom sitting on the sofa. She ran to me. I won't ever forget the look on her face.

Demolished.

I asked nothing. Just kept staring at her. She sat beside me, and silently caressed my hair. She looked so mute, that I knew everything had fallen apart. But I did not speak a word. "

Siddhi was sobbing. Her sobs rolled through the mansion. But Jai did not turn. His jaw stiffened, as he gripped the window seal, trying to contain the growing restlessness. Sonara walked upto him, placing a hand on his shoulder.
He looked into her eyes.
She knew, he was broken.

" Sometime later, my father, the great Raghav Raichand walked in.
He too held an expression of utter grief. I knew everything. Just every bit now.

Trying, yet unable to hold myself, I just asked,
' Did he pass away? '

He nodded a yes, after a very very long time. "

Sonara was weeping now. She could not take this. Jai held her tight by the shoulder. While his insides churned to pieces.

Siddhi did not look up for a moment.

" They said, he was hit by a truck.
And he expired within an hour.

I believed them. They are my parents.
I still believe them.
Never would I think in my distant dream that my father got him killed. Because that would make him a murderer, and me, a murderer's daughter.

But, if Farhan, the safest driver I have ever known, was so agonised, that he drove wrong or rash to get killed, it was because of my dearest parents.

In that way, they murdered him. And they were quite satisfied with that. I knew. " , she spoke softly.

" Maya..... I..... " , Siddhi spoke after long, yet choked.

Maya unheard that.
" I stopped moving out of my own room itself after that. I stopped talking to everyone. I stopped existing.

Time and again I wanted to kill myself, but couldn't. A tremendous hatred brewed inside me for them.
I wished to revenge his death, against my own parents. And I hated him, for not taking me along, that evening.

And then, I suddenly turned severely indifferent, towards everyone. Every emotion.
I dived in books to get rid of the extreme forms of sadness that were engulfing me. I wrote tests from home. Because I could not step into ICM again. I would die, without him around.

I was dying, everyday.
I still am, after six long years, and no one knows. "

Maya stopped. Completely.
