Bhoomi settled on a chair at the lavish cafeteria of 'Endeavour', before a grinning Som.
" Put your teeth in. " , Bhoomi frowned.
" There's a reason. " , he continued chuckling.
" And what's that? "
" You forgot to take off those oversized shades. " , he ducked his tongue out.
Bhoomi immediately pulled them out, embarrassed and hence smiling.
" Whatever.
Why have I been summoned?
Do you know, dad was staring at me as if I'm into another affair quite soon! " , Bhoomi pulled in the menu.
Som kept staring at her for sometime.
"I'm glad, to yet find you here ignoring those stares. "
" I literally lied to him. I said I'm going out with a female school friend. And he was evidently disturbed. "
" Like really?
You couldn't tell you're here to meet Som, the one who was always tagged along with Jai! "
" That's it. Have I ever hung out with you alone, other than recently? " , Bhoomi looked dead serious while trying to choose food.
" I don't believe this. So you ask me to ignore all those times you spent at our confectionery, hogging stuffs, when we didn't even know of the common friend we shared! " , Som looked hurt.
" Idiot. That's called hanging out according to you. I see. " , Bhoomi gestured a waiter.
And ordered sandwiches and drinks.
" Bhoomi Shetty. You broke mah heart. " , Som faked sadness.
" Ow my drama queen. Collect pieces and get going please! " , Bhoomi made faces.
" By the way, I don't have much time. If you gotta talk something serious, get on with it. "
" I've got nothing serious to talk.
So are you leaving? ", Som squeezed his nose.
Bhoomi pressed her lips and slapped Som.
" I am. If that's your wish. " , it was she who faked hurt now.
" I wish, you stay, Mademoiselle. Forevaaa. " , Som batted eyelashes.
Bhoomi suddenly blushed a bit and slapped him again. Som burst out laughing.
" What are we doing!? Kidding, literally! " , he exclaimed.
" There's nothing wrong in that. There's nothing right in always talking serious. " , Bhoomi twisted her brows.
" That's like my girl.
I mean... Our girl. "
" Our? Now what's this pluralism? " , Bhoomi frowned.
" So you like it singular? " , Som winked.
" Are you trying to flirt, Mr Som Shergil? " , Bhoomi faked anger.
" Not at all Ms Shetty, I'm only being serious. "
" Fine then. Let's eat. " , Bhoomi concentrated on the food served.
" By the way, I guess there's some tension going on at the Raichand's place since two days." , Som said after sometime.
" Let it be, Som.
Jai has changed a lot.
I will not be surprised, if a day comes soon that I don't recognize him at all.
Let him be.
Let them be. "
Som knew it wasn't very right on his part, but he felt good, in letting 'him' be, with Bhoomi before his eyes....
