"Okay I'll quickly run in and grab some stuff" I say to Shawn whilst I park the car, we're currently on our way to his mums barbecue but we're in charge of drinks and we totally forgot so now I'm going to pick some up. I give Shawn a kiss on the cheek and leave the car and walk in looking for what I need.

I quickly go pay and walk out the door when I run into somebody and the bag falls out of my hand "Sorry" I say and bend down putting everything back in the bag and this boy reaches down to help me and we both get up.
He runs his hand through his blond hair and looks down at the floor "I'm sorry about that" he says and looks up at me "don't worry about it" I say and begin to walk way.

"Hey" I hear the boy shout and I turn around to see him walking towards me, he stops in front of me and his blue eyes meet mine "so I don't know if this is appropriate but can I have your number I mean you're really pretty and yeah my name is Jacob" his cheeks flush and I smile at him "erm yeah, I'm sorry but I have a boyfriend and my name is y/n but you seem really nice though" I say to him in the nicest way possible.

"Oh is your boyfriend the one staring at you from that car" I turn around to see Shawn sending me death stares and I look at him confused. I turn back to jacob "yeah he is, well I really have to go it was really nice meeting you though" I smile at him "you too, your boy is really lucky to have you" Jacob says and leans in to hug me and I'm taken by surprise but I hug him back then let go and go back to the car.

I put the drinks in the boot and get in the drivers seat "Hey I got the drinks are we ready to go now" I say to Shawn and start up the car "looks like you got a new boyfriend too" he mumbles under his breath. "Shawn I don't even know who that was he just ran in to me and helped me, yes he asked for my number but-"
"Let me guess you gave it to me because he's just your friend right" he says getting angry.
I pull out of the parking spot and begin driving to his mums house which is a good hour away so that's great.

We both don't speak and it's been 20mins, he's just on his phone not even looking up. "Shawn I didn't give him my number and he didn't give me his, I told him I have a boyfriend" I say and hope he speaks up. "I don't believe you" he says and my heart breaks. I grab my phone from the compartment and throw it in his lap "go on check then since you don't trust me" I began to get annoyed at him why doesn't he believe me. He grabs my phone and unlocks it and I can't see what he's doing since my eyes are on the road but I hear the sound of the typing and buttons clicking. "When I told him I have a boyfriend he said that you were really lucky and he stopped asking me for my number and left it at that and we said bye and that's it" I say rather quickly trying to make him understand that nothing happened, he doesn't even say anything he just puts my phone back and leans back in his seat.

Soon we're at the house and I get out the car and so does Shawn he just goes to knock on the door and I go to the back grabbing all the drinks. What's his problem. I get to the door and Manny grabs the drinks from my hands "it's so nice to see you again y/n, everyone is out at the back" he says "it's nice to you too" I say and make my way to the back were I'm greeted by Aaliyah she hugs me tightly "hey what's up with Shawn" she whispers in my ear "I don't know and I don't care but how are you I haven't seen you in ages and where's your mum" I say to her "I'm good yeah really excited that you were coming and mum is over at the barbecue" I make my way to Karen and she sees me and hugs me "oh y/n its so nice to see you again, you and Shawn never come as often" she says and whilst she carries on watching the barbecue "I know I'm really sorry me and Shawn are always just so busy" I say sadly "oh and what's up with Shawn he's just sat the patio on his phone" she points over at him. "You should go to him" and Karen nudges me to him.

I sit beside him and he doesn't even move, I put my hand on his and lock our hands and he looks up at me, I lean in and our lips meet for a short while. "Shawn what's the matter" I sigh
"I'm just. I'm sorry for how I acted" he says and looks at me in me the eyes. "I guess I'm scared of loosing you, I mean you could've easily left me for that guy, I saw the way he looked at you, any boy would be stupid to not think your pretty" he says
"Well I chose you and I'm going to stay with you, I don't care who says what I'm with you" I say and kiss his cheek.
"I'm such an idiot" Shawn says and I giggle
"No your just protective but I mean you can call yourself an idiot too" he laughs a little.
I stand up and take his hand and he gets up "come on I'm hungry now" I say and look up at him. He kisses my forehead "well then let's go"
