Heartbreak 2

"Y/n can I come over?" Shawn speaks through the phone. "Yeah sure I'll see you soon" she says and hangs up.

It was Shawn's turn to call her, it's been a month since she came over. Shawn had no idea what he would say or do to her, he just knew that he could find comfort with being with her.

He knocks on her door and waist for her to answer. "Hi Shawn" she says, "hi" his voice merely a whispers. He looks down at her seeing her pretty face fresh with no makeup and she's dressed in some cute cotton shorts and a hoodie. "Are you going to come in?" Her voice snaps him out of his racer and he nods following her to the living room.

"You want something drink?" he shakes his head no.

She sits beside him and notices the tears forming in his broken eyes. "Oh god, Shawn what the matter?" She asks, her hand moves up to his shoulder and rubs gently trying to comfort him as he cries. "I'm sorry y/n. I haven't talked to you in so long and I'm her crying to you" he sobs.

"Shawn it's okay, you could go a year without taking to me and I'd still welcome you with open arms" she smiles at him and it was the complete truth, she's a sucker for this boy.

She won't admit it but she's been dying to see Shawn but she was too broken. He was a walking reminder of her heartbreak.

"Maya cheated on me" Shawn says breathing heavily. "Oh Shawn" she engulfs him in a hug, his head going to her chest resting against it.

"It's okay, it's going to be okay" she tells him stroking his hair. He looks up at her blinks a few times. "He cheated on you too and I wasn't there for you. I'm so sorry y/n, I'm so sorry" Shawn cries.

"Shush, it's okay you're here now and one here for you" he nods at her words and hugs her back.

They both sat hugging each other. Hearing each other's heart beats and feeling their bodies move as the breather heavily.

"Shawn I need to tell you something" she confesses making him sit back and look at her. "He cheated on me and the other girl was Maya. I didn't tell you because you were happy and I couldn't take that from you and I couldn't see you got through heartbreak like I was I didn't tell you because I was scared. What if you'd don't belie-" her voice is stopped by Shawn's lips which press against hers.

She soon realises and kisses back immediately feeling his soft lips on hers finally.

He pulls back and sighs "it's okay that you didn't tell me and I'm sorry I just kissed you I just got out of a relationship, I really didn't mean that" Shawn confesses

Her face dropped as she looked at him. She felt so much in that kiss but he just broke it.

"Oh it's fine, I get it" she says plastering a smile on her face.

"I guess I just miss it" Shawn admits "I want to be loved" Shawn says.

She nods at him "yeah I completely understand" she says but her heart breaks she remembers how she came home that night soaked by the pounding rain, how her mascara smudged with her tears and how her crying made her throat hurt.

"Thanks y/n" Shawn says holding her hand, she looks down at their hands and smiles for a second. "It's okay Shawn I'm here for you".

"I should go now" Shawn says getting up, she gets up too and leads him to the door not even trying to convince him to stay "bye y/n and thanks again" he says hugging her. "It's okay and it'll get better" he nods and walks away to his car.

She closes the door, her back slides down the hard wood and her body falls to the floor. She brings her knees up to her chest and she sobs. Her heart breaks again if it's possible. Shawn said it himself. He clearly doesn't feel anything for the girl that would give him it all.

She lied to Shawn, it doesn't get better, not all.
