Our baby

"That was amazing Shawn!" She yelled whilst hugging his sweaty body and a guitar getting in the way of them. He quickly removed the guitar and put it to the side and picked up his girl and took her to his room.

"Did you like the show and wheres Avery?" Shawn asks about his daughter quickly changing his shirt. "Oh I left her at the hotel with your mum " she says and opens a water bottle and passes it to Shawn and he chugs it down.

"You should've brung her with you I miss my baby" Shawn says and slumps down on the small sofa and y/n sits beside him and Shawn wraps his arm around her. "She's only a baby Shawn and it's so loud here" she giggles and kisses his cheeks.

"Yeah but she could've been kept back stage and I would've gave her those small ear muffs" he says trying to prove a point.

She knows that Shawn will continue arguing with her. They've had this argument before, she believes Avery is too young to be surrounded my people taking pictures all the time and her tiny ears will be so sensitive to the noise. However Shawn believes he will protect his baby girl and not let anything happen to her.

"Shawn she's not even one yet, she shouldn't constantly be surrounded by screaming girls and flashing lights" she says and gets up grabbing her bag. Shawn gets up too putting his guitar away. "I know you've said this before but she's my daughter too you can't just keep deciding everything for her" Shawn raises his voice and slams the guitar case shut.

"Whatever" y/n mumbles and leaves the room with Shawn trailing behind her.

He catches up to her and walks beside her and she keeps her gaze forward with her arms crossed against her chest.

"I just think that she should be here with me, I don't get to see her a lot" Shawn says.

"Yeah well that's not my fault and I think she's just a baby and she can't be in this hectic atmosphere all the time" she says and Shawn huffs.

"Come on guys I got you a separate car and we will all meet at the hotel" Andrew says seeing the couple and y/n nods. "Oh I'll think I'll ride with you guys I need to put all my stuff in the boot" Shawn says and she looks up at him in confusion, why is he acting so childish.

"I'll meet you guys at the hotel then, bye" she says and goes to the car alone.

She makes it back to the hotel before everyone and walks up to Karen's room.
Karen opens the door and she's stood there with Avery in her arms.

"Awe my baby" y/n coos and Karen passes Avery in her arms and she giggles.

"Thank you so much Karen, how was she?" She asks and and sways side to side with Avery in her arms.

"she's always great, where's Shawn dear?" She asks and they both walk towards the bed and sit down in the hotel room. "He said he'll come with the rest of the boys" she sighs and continues playing with her baby.

They talk for a little while then soon say good bye and y/n takes her baby and goes to her hotel room not sure if Shawn will be there.
She unlocks the door and hears the strumming of a guitar.

She sets her bag down and carries Avery to the bed where Shawn is, he looks up and smiles at his girls and puts his guitar down making grabby hands at Avery who is giggling.

"Hey baby" he says and places a kiss on her cheek and sways her side to side.

"Where were you?" Shawn asks and y/n shrugs still annoyed at Shawn. "Come on don't be like this" he says and she inhales deeply and takes her jacket and shoes off.

"I was with your mum, in her room with Avery" she says and goes to the bathroom. Shawn trails behind her still holding his baby. "You could've told me" he says and she carries on brushing her hair.

"I told you Avery was with your mum but I guess you forgot because you were too busy yelling at me" she says and goes back to the room grabbing some clothes.

"Yeah well you always do whatever you think is best and I never tell you no, I just wanted her to be there that's all" he says and places Avery down in the middle of the bed surrounding her by pillows.

"Shawn I'm only doing what's right for her, she's our baby and I want to protect her" she says and begins getting undressed and Shawn sits at the edge of the bed watching her.

"Yeah well I told you how she could've been backstage" he says obviously and she huffs.

"That's not the point Shawn, she won't even remember this when she's older she's not even a year old yet, we were crazy enough to bring her here in Paris" she says and slides on some shorts.

Shawn gets up and grabs her waist and pulls her in to his chest. "She's perfectly fine though" he says and kisses her cheek.

"Shawn you're so annoying, you shout at me then kiss me like nothing has happened" she hits his chest playfully and he grins.

"Well we can't argue all the time about this, we're married and we have baby we can't let stupid things get to us" he says.

"You're saying that but you don't understand that Avery is so small and so precious I can't have her surrounded by such a busy environment, I want her home with us where it's nice and quiet and she can play freely and be safe" she says and looks up to Shawn's eyes and he sighs.

"I know I'm sorry baby, I feel bad that I don't see her enough and I want her with me all the time and I know that can't happen but I just wish it could" he says and she cups his cheek with her hand.

"Shawn she's yours, your her dad, she won't forget you or anything and I know she loves you and you love her. You will see her all the time whenever your home and you have like 2 years off before you tour again so you will see her all the time. We won't leave you Shawn, she's your baby too" she says and kisses his cheek lightly.

"Thank you baby" he says and nuzzles his head in to her neck and she holds him tightly.

"I don't like arguing with you" she says and he pulls back and holds her jaw and rubs his thumb over her cheek. "Me too" he says and leans into kiss her.

He picks her up and she wraps her legs around him and they kiss deeper.

Shawn pushes her against the wall and it makes a thud. Soon loud cries are heard and they both pull back and Shawn lets y/n down and huffs. She makes her way to Avery and grabs a milk bottle going to feed her in her lap. She soon calms down and Shawn comes and sits behind her so she's leaning in to his chest whilst Avery falls asleep in her lap.

"She's so perfect" y/n whispers and Shawn nods and moves her hair back and presses a kiss on her neck. "You're perfect too my love".
