Leave Me Then

Shawn held her hand tightly weaving their way through the crowd that had formed, he opens the door for her letting her in first then himself. "Woah that was a a lot" she laughs putting her seatbelt on then intertwining her hand with Shawn's.

"I know, aren't you used to it yet?" He asks playing with the charms on her bracelet. "Oh god no, I don't think I could ever be used to that it's a nightmare"

"It's not all bad" he shrugs. "Well there's not much good to it really. People screaming your name, twisting your words, asking personal stuff, I mean since I got with you I have people asking me if I'm pregnant or cheating nearly everyday" she says leaning her head on Shawn's shoulder.

"Oh well I'm sorry that I can't control that princess" he says in a harsh tone making her look up at him. "Shawn don't be like this, I'm just saying this life you live is so unordinary"

He pulls his hand back playing with his ring on his pinky finger "Well if you don't like it leave me then" he huffs.

She furrows her eyebrows at him "I don't want to leave you Shawn. I love you, I don't care about all that I was just simply pointing out the obvious you clearly know yourself that this life isn't all rainbows and sunshine" y/n turns to face him placing a hand on his thigh.

"Well you can only ever think about the bad things, you're always so negative. Try thinking about happy things" he says looking down at her hand.

"I do Shawn but I live in reality and pay attention to the bad things, that doesn't make me a negative person"

He budges further away moving his knee so her hand falls off. "Well you sure act like it. If you hate this so much simply leave me" he says harshly looking the other way. His words sting her and make her stomach flip.

She ignores him and continues looking outside as they arrive home. "We're here Mr Mendes" the driver says, they both thank him and get out the car Shawn rushing forward and y/n walks faster trying to catch up. "Slow down Shawn" she yells but he carries on.

It's not the first time they've had a fight about this, the most recent was just last week and now she's had enough. "For fucks sake Shawn can you stop" she yells but he walks even faster.

She stops in her tracks looking at him walk away. "I'm leaving Shawn!" She shouts making him stop and turn around. His mind fills with fear, he always told her to leave whenever they would argue but is she really going to this time?

He walks up to her stopping right in front of her. "What did you say?" He ask.

"I'm going, leaving you like you said. You say it to me all the time and I'm doing it this time, so thanks for making me leave, I'm better off with out you" she says turning around. Shawn grabs her wrist twirling her around.

"Forever?" He asks.

"I don't know, you might see me around but you told me to leave and not just once so congrats you're finally getting what you wanted. Thank you" her voice still soft even though she's breaking inside.

"This life just isn't for me, you'll find someone though" she mumbles.

"But no one will love me like you do" he says.

"I still love you Shawn but it's clear you don't love me, you don't tell the people you love to leave." She says pulling her hand back turning around walking off.

"No I do love you, I want you here with me please" He begs jogging to stand in front of her.

"Move out my way Shawn. You're getting what you wanted, so move." She says getting frustrated. "I don't mean it"

"Yes you did, you tell me to leave after every fight we have. You repeat those words so much they're stuck in my head now I want to go, I don't want to be around someone who doesn't want me there" she says moving beside him

"I don't mean it. Please my love"

"Don't call me that. You haven't said that in so long don't think I'm changing my mind because you said those words" she spits walking faster.

"Don't walk away!" Shawn yells watching her walk faster.

"You told me too" she yells back walking away from the man who didn't want her as much as she wanted him.
