Perfect Day

"I made breakfast" Shawn says walking into the bedroom with a tray, waffles, Nutella, strawberries, orange juice and flowers. She got up stretching running a hand through her hair as Shawn sat beside her. "Oh my god is it our anniversary?" Her eyes widen.

"No love, this is just" he smiles kissing her forehead. "Oh, thanks should I make you something, have you eaten?" She asks getting up but Shawn pulls her down. "Just sit down and eat baby, I've already eaten" he tells her placing the tray on her lap.

She cuts up the waffle holding up it to Shawn, "here" he opens his mouth taking a bite then she takes a bite. "Wow this actually good" she giggles. "What I'm a good cook" he scoffs playfully, "of course you are chef Mendes" she smiles.

"Hey watch it missy" he smirks pecking her lips.

"Honey I set up a bath for you" Shawn shouts from the bathroom, y/n gets up putting her finished food to the side grabbing a robe, slipping it on then walking in to the bathroom.

Shawn stood over the bath pouring in bath salts, "what's up with you today?" She asks hugging him from behind, "Nothing, I just ran you a bath that's all" he turns around to her, his hands go to her robe undoing it slipping it off her bare body, "perfect" he mumbles kissing her shoulder.

"Go on, get in before it gets cold" he tells her grabbing her hand as she gets in sinking in to the water. "Ooo it smells good" she says in bliss leaning back. Shawn sits beside the tub admiring her, "Thank you" she mumbles sitting up to kiss him.

"No problem, when you're done tell me okay, I'm gonna our sone clothes out for you" he says getting up. "Wait where are we going?" She asks as he walks away. "Just somewhere.

"Oh god Shawn I'm not wearing that" she exclaims looking at the red mini dress and black strappy heels. "Please baby" he pleads holding up the dress, "Ugh fine, give it to me" she says taking the dress from his hands watching a smile appear on his face.

She gets dressed looking at Shawn with a grin, "you look amazing baby, ugh this body kills me" he groans rubbing his hands over the red fabric, she giggles putting her head on his shoulder. "Put your shoes on darling, I'm just gonna get changed" he tells her before walking out.

Shawn walks back in wearing a black button up tucked in to his black suit pants. "Damn baby where are we going?" She smirks looking over Shawn's appearance. "Come on, we're talking my car" he smiles taking her hand.

"Wait should I do my makeup or hair?" She and worried but he shakes his head shutting the door then opening the car door for her. "Where are we going?" She asks again as he gets in. "Stop asking baby" he smirks driving off.

"Erm why are we at the salon? Aren't we a bit overdressed?" She asks looking at him as they walk in. "No you look perfect" he opens the door for her letting her walk in, his hand goes to her lower back as they walk to reception. "Hey Shawn, you booked in right?" The lady says opening a book.

Y/n looked up at Shawn confused, "Yeah I did" he smiles at her. "Okay come this way" the lady says. "Shawn you didn't have to bring me to get your hair cut" she giggles whispering in his ear as they follow the lady.

"It's not for me babe" he chuckles. "Okay you can sit here the girls will be a minute" the lady smiles pointing to the salon chair. "Go on, sit down" Shawn says pointing to the chair.

She sits down and immediately three girls walk in. "Hi, so it's hair, makeup and nails right?" The blonde one smiles. Shawn nods at her smiling, "Okay well I'm Rachel, this is Mia and Linda. It's nice to meet you let's get started" she smiles at y/n who gives a confused look to Shawn.

After an hour and a half of Shawn waiting patiently watching his girl and y/n having a laugh with the girls they were finally done. Her hair was in perfect curls, her face looked flawless and her nails were painted a pretty colour.

Shawn gets up with her smiling down at her. "You're all done miss and the payment has already been done so you can go now" Rachel smiles. "Oh thank you so much I love it" she tells them hugging the three girls before leaving the salon with Shawn.

She grips his hand pulling him back then pressing her lips to his. "What is this for Shawn? It's just a normal Wednesday" she laughs holding his hand as they walk to his car where he opens the door for her. "I just wanted to treat you and you look hot" he smirks squeezing her bum before she gets in.

He jogs to the other side getting in, "Are we going home now?" She asks him. He shakes his head no "not yet" he smiles.

Shawn holds her hand helping her out the car, he locks the car then intertwines their hands.
"I know you like the flower garden so why not bring you here" he smiles pecking her cheek as they carry on walking down the pavement being surrounded by pink roses.

"I love it here" she tells him, "look the sun is setting" he stops her under an arch of flowers. "It's so pretty" she mumbles leaning her head against his shoulder looking over the pink painted sky.

"Let me take a picture of you" he says taking out his phone moving back, she turns around to face him "no turn your back" he says to her. She turns around waiting for him to take the picture.

"Okay" he breaths out "turn around" he tells her.

Y/n turns around not seeing Shawn, she looks down the gasps holding her hands over her mouth. "Shawn what the fuck get up" she tells him tearing up.

Down on one knee holding a black box showcasing a diamond ring.

"Shawn" she cries in happiness leaning down on her knees in front of him. "Baby get up so I can do it right" he tells her his voice cracking with emotion. She shakes her head no, bringing her hands up to his face holding his jaw.

"Be mine, forever" he says looking straight in to her shining eyes. "I'm yours, forever" she tells him pulling him forward kissing him. Her hands go to his hair pulling him closer, her tongue massaging against his, he pulls back biting her bottom lip then releasing, his forehead touching hers.

"I love you" he mumbles against her lips. "I love you too Shawn" she cries into his arms. "Stop crying baby you're making me cry" he lets out a chuckle wiping his eyes.

She looks up at him then leans closer showering his face with kisses mumbling 'I love you' again and again.

He pulls her back grinning at her, "Do you like the ring?" He asks holding up the box. "Oh my god I didn't even look at it" she tells him.

Shawn pulls the ring out holding her hand sliding on the ring. "It's perfect Shawn" she whispers.

"Come on let's get up" he tells her holding her hands pulling them both up. Shawn hugs her from the side bringing her body in as they turn to watch the rest of the sunset.

"This is why you pampered me today" she says still looking at the now lilac sky.

"Yep I wanted it to be the perfect day" he says kissing her head.

"It was the most perfect day"
