Disagreement

Shawn holds her hand, swinging it back and forth as they walk in the snow watching their children run in front of them giggling and playing, throwing snowballs.

"Hey" Shawn says making her look at him, "you look pretty" she laughs shaking her head. "Thanks" she mumbles before kissing his lips.

His lips warm her up, still sending tingly feeling down her body even after being together for so long. Y/n quickly pulls back hearing a cry, her head turns over seeing Lilly cry. She runs over to her kneeling down beside her. "What happened Lil?" She asks picking her up rocking her back and forth rubbing her back trying to soothe her.

"Jonah pushed me" she cries into y/n's shoulder, Shawn walks up to them observing what happened. "Why is my baby girl crying?" He ask making Lilly lift her head up.

"Oh come here" he holds out his arms taking her from y/n. She looks down seeing Jonah whimpering with tears in his green eyes.

She kneels down to his height stroking his cheek, "oh my love, why are you crying?" She asks. Jonah let's outs loud sob then crashes into her arms. "Oh baby" she coos stroking his hair.

"Shawn" she calls making him look down at his wife and son. "Let's go home" she tells him making Shawn nod. He holds Lilly close walking over  to the car and y/n holds Jonah's hand not being able to carry him at his age.

Shawn unlocks his car putting Lilly in her seat buckling her in and y/n puts in Jonah doing the same. "Here" she pulls out two lollipops from her bag giving one to each of them. They smile saying a thank you, she shuts the door then gets in the passenger seat.

"Shawn what's the matter?" She asks looking at his angry expression, "Nothing" he mutters starting the car before driving home.

"I'll get Lilly, shes fallen asleep" Shawn says getting out of the car. Y/n gets out helping Jonah out holding his hand as they get to the door where Shawn opens it.

"Ooo mummy can I play with the new Lego's" Jonah screeches making her laugh but the opposite reaction comes from Lilly as she wakes up crying. Jonah look at y/n with a guilty look on his face, "it's okay honey, go play" she tells him then he runs off to his room.

Shawn picks up Lilly holding her in his arms "here I'll put her to sleep" she tells Shawn about to hold Lilly but he pulls back. "I'll do it" he mumbles walking off.

Y/n sighs then takes off her boots and coat sitting in the sofa turning on the tv. Shawn walks back in, he had removed his coat and shoes too now. He sits down going on his phone.

She scoots next to him kissing his cheek sweetly, "what the matter Shawn?" She asks, "Nothing" he says going back to scrolling in his feed. "Babe just tell me"

He locks his phone putting it down then turning to her. "Why didn't you say anything to Jonah for pushing Lilly or for waking her up?" He asks, she lets out a laugh but then presses her lips together seeing he's being serious. "Wait you're mad because of that?" She raises an eyebrow.

"Yes I'm mad, you're to soft on him" he tells her. "I don't enjoy shouting at my kids Shawn" she scoffs. "My kids too" He states "and Jonah will just do it again because you didn't tell him off" Shawn says trying to make a point.

"Hunny, he's a child. Okay he pushed his sister but don't all siblings fight plus Lilly is okay, you know she's a little drama queen and yeah he woke her up but it doesn't matter because he's being quiet in his room letting her sleep" y/n says.

"But baby, if we don't tell them off they're going to think it's okay to do whatever because they know we won't tell them off" Shawn says making a good point.

"Okay next time you tell him off cause I can't. It breaks my heart when I see them sad" she tells Shawn. "I don't like seeing them sad either" Shawn says quickly.

"I know" she nods. "I just don't want them to think they can do whatever with out a consequence" Shawn shrugs his shoulder.

"Yeah I get that, I just don't like telling them off, I remember shouting at Jonah for ruining the carpet upstairs and he cried so much then didn't talk to me" she says sadly.

"Ugh why is it so hard?" Shawn groans

"Cause they're our babies" she lets out a laugh.

"I can't believe we had a disagreement over this" Shawn says, "you're the one who got mad" y/n shoots playfully.

"Yeah yeah" he mimics leaning in to kiss her, she gets up slightly straddling his lap deepening the kiss rubbing her hands through his hair. After a couple of minutes they hear a loud crying, she groans getting off Shawn and he gets up beside her.

"We're not done with this yet" he whispers in her ear before walking out the room.
