She fluttered down elegantly, well as elegant as she could, her white heels touching the ground, she was a literal angel.

And I mean an actual angel.

She walked with class, so naturally and beautifully catching the eyes of all.

"Morning" she smiles at her neighbour despite the fact she wasn't in the best of moods. "Morning, not causing any trouble are you?" The elderly woman chuckles. "Of course not" y/n chuckles, leaning down to pick up a fallen flower. She cups it on her hands and closes her fingers around it.

"This should take a second" she excuses. Seconds later, she opens her palms and hands the now risen rose to the woman. "Have a nice day" she beams walking away, her snow white wings tucking behind her back and glittering under the sun, however today they had lost their usual shine and weren't spread out like they usually would be.

She continues on her walk, humming to herself and my god what a beautiful voice she had, everyone stopped to listen to her enchanting sound. She stops multiple times, wishing people a good day and helping them with the small things.

Minuets later she's walking up the steps to her shared home when all of a sudden a gush of wind flies past her making her grip the hem of her dress keeping it down. Then, within a blink of an eye she's faced with Shawn, who was sporting a mischievous grin.

"Hello you" Shawn leans forward but she quickly cups his cheeks stopping him.

"Not now" she shakes her head. "Hmm now" his strong arms grip around her, trapping her so close.

"Ouch" She whines when he squashes her wings. However, he chuckles pressing his lips against hers.

"I'm hurting" she mumbles pulling away. He quickly lets go, although he was basically the devils sidekick he had a soft spot for her.

"What happened?" He asks fluttering his large black wings to go behind her, however, she turns around.

"Nothing-"

"Spread your wings" he tells her to but she shakes her head no. "Babe, I won't ask again. Come on, let me see" he says softly.

Y/n sighs, within a second her soft feathery wings are spread, it's almost as if they shined around her.

"Fuck, how beautiful" Shawn smirks charmingly. "Very beautiful, but your wing looks crooked baby, did something happen?" He asks stepping forward. "No" she shakes her head stepping back.

Shawn looks at her quizzically. "Fly up then" he tests.

"No, I'm fine right here" she crosses her arms over her chest. "Okay fine, let me then" Shawn quickly swoops her up, his wings flapping and he's off his feet and flying high and quick upwards.

"Shawn!" Her hand clutches to his arm. He chuckles kissing the top of her head. "It's beautiful from here"

Y/n looks away from him and down at the city, her eyes beaming with admiration. Shawn hovers high in the clouds, his grip tight around his love.

"I love you" she looks up at him in awe. "I love you too and I'm so sorry for what I'm about to do-"

"What do you-" she cuts herself off with a scream as Shawn lets go of her body as she slips out of his grip, now her hair is all over the place, her eyes clenched out and she screams.

"Shawn!" She cries for help. She fails miserably at getting her wings to open and do their function.

"Oh by the angel" she mumbles in a panic.

He wouldn't let her fall. He couldn't.

Shawn stays hovering on that one spot, looking down at her falling.

When her wings don't open and she cries for his name, his heart sets into panic and he's quickly facing down, flapping his wings as hard and fast as he could go.

"Fuck" he mumbles, she's almost in reach but she's closer to the hard, solid ground

Y/n keeps hers eyes shut, whimpers and cries, screams and gasps escaping her lips.

Then she opens her eyes. "Oh please" she mutters trying to her her wings to at least flutter but they don't. Her eyes are met with a clear view of the ground and she had it in her head that Shawn, her boyfriend had just quite literally dropped her to her death.

Shawn grunts stretching his arms out.

It all happened so quick; he swoops under her, gripping her body close, her eyes open and she finds herself crying into Shawn's chest as they suddenly slow down, both of them meeting the ground.

Shawn sighs in relief, his arms staying around her securely as they both try to controls their breathing.

"How dare you drop me!" She hits his chest. "My wing is broken and you knew! You were testing me and you dropped me Shawn! What if you didn't make it to me on time? Then what?" She shouts in rage.

"Angel-"

"Don't call me angel" she storms away inside, slamming the door shut.

Shawn wanders into the bedroom, his heart sinking when he spots his lover on bed.

Her large wings open and covering most of her body. Shawn loved doing that, spooning her as his wings wrapped around them, keeping them warm and safe.

"Hi angel" Shawn says softly, his fingers going down her spine making her squirm

She turns around with a big sigh escaping her puffed lips. "You dropped me" she says plainly.

"Then I caught you"

"You doubted me"

"I did not... I know how to fix your wing" he says softly, his large hands rubbing towards her back. "You do?" She asks hopefully.

Shawn nods, his hand reaches for hers then he tugs he up. "Simply need to put some cream on it" He kisses her forehead.

"And I'm sorry for dropping you" his nose nudges against hers. "You should be, I thought that was it-"

"I was always going to catch you" his gentle lips press a tender kiss to her lips. "Good. Now fix my wing"

"Okay angel" he pecks her lips with a grin then gets to it.
