Sleep

Shawn sat on the carpeted floor on his phone whilst the tv was on, he was just scrolling through twitter laughing to himself any time something funny would come up. He was exhausted and all he wanted to do was sleep but he couldn't even get 5 minutes of sleep.

He decided to call y/n just to take his mind of everything, "Hey Shawn what's up?" Just the sound of her voice made him smile.

"I can't sleep love, I'm so tired but my body won't let me sleep. What are you doing?"

"Well you know since it's eight pm I'm just going to go sky dive" she laughs, Shawn rolls his eyes even though he can't see her. "I'm kidding obviously, I'm in bed watching the Kardashian's whilst eating cake"

Shawn runs a hand through his hair "Okay well I'll leave you to it"

"Shawn I can come over if you want" she spoke gently realising how tired he was, his voice didn't sound like his usual happy self.

"Yeah, thanks I'll see you soon"

"Okay bye"  he ends the call leaning back on the sofa groaning from the lack of sleep. He just sat there for fifteen minutes staring at the tv not knowing what was going on, until he heard knocking at the door.

He made his way to the door revealing a happy girl, "Hey Hun" she smiles, embracing him in a hug before she walks in. She follows him to the living room but quickly grabs his hand trying her best to pull him back "let's go to your room, unless you want to fall asleep on the sofa" Shawn chuckles shaking his head.

They both get in his bed leaning against the headboard, she scoots next to him leaning her head in his shoulder and his arm goes around her rubbing her back.

"What did you do today?" She asks, "well I woke up at like six, I went for a run for like an hour then when I came back Andrew called me in for a meeting to discuss some performances. Then after like two hours I went to see my mum and ate there and stayed for like 4 hours. I came home at like half seven wanting to sleep but I can't I don't know why, then I called you now you're here and I'm telling you this story" she laughs at the ending as his voice trailed off.

She gets up leaning against the head board "I want to hold you" he whines putting his arm over her again but she stops him. "Lay your head on my lap" she tells him but he looks at her confused. "Come on Shawn, I want to play with your hair" she smiles.

He nods moving down on the bed then laying his head on her lap holding her thigh gently. Her hand goes to his hair gently stroking it and massaging his scalp. He hums in bliss and closes his eyes.

"Tell me what you did today babe" he speaks quietly. "Okay well I woke up at like half ten, made coffee and went to meet with my friends I haven't seen them in so long, then after that I met with my mum for a little catch up and she says hi by the way." Shawn smiles at her words.

"Then I went home, cleaned up a bit then sat in my bed and binge watched a bunch of stuff then you called me now I'm here telling you this story" she laughs at the end copying his words from before.

"Sounds like you had a good day" he says, "I missed you though".

"I missed you too, we were both busy today but I'm all yours tomorrow" he hums a yes feeling more drowsy as she plays with his hair.

"We can just sleep all day" she tells him "it seems like you need it" she lets out a chuckle.

"Yeah, we can stay in bed all day, eating a bunch of junk, it sounds perfect" he mumbles.

"Go to sleep love" she tells him softly.

He doesn't reply, he just shuts his eyes loving the feeling of her hands playing with his hair and also loving just being near her.

Soon he finally fell asleep in her lap, feeling the most comfortable.
