Banquet

Sumalampak ako sa sofa namin. May hawak na hot chocolate at cookies. It is christmas! Kaya mag momovie marathon ako ng christmas movies. Naka salamin ako ngayon at hindi nag contact lense. Inayos ko ang suot kong salamin at nag hanap na ng mapapanood.

Pero biglang may nag doorbell, siguro ay mga nangangaroling. Tumayo ako at binuksan ang pinto at bumalandra sakin ang isang malaking lalaki. Napaatras ako doon at agad na tumakbo pero nahagip niya ko sa collar ng damit ko. Binuka ko ang bibig ko para sumigaw pero tinakpan niya ito agad ng kamay niya.

Nagpupumiglas ako at naisipang sipain ang kanyang alaga. Sumigaw siya at nabitawan ako. Bago pa ako makalayo ng takbo ay may isa pang lalaki na hinawakan ako. Sisipain ko din bale ang kanyang alaga pero may nag snap ng fingers.

"Let go of her," The voice said. "I told you guys I should've talked to her first. Violence doesn't always work."

The guy loosened the grip of his hand on my sleeve. I jerked him away. I looked behind him only to find myself glaring at the guy who said something.

"Ganito kaba bumati ng merry christmas, Raja?"

He gave me a sweet smile. "No, usually I let my money do the talking and give them presents to make them happy. Please excuse these guys, it worked for the others, so they thought we shoukd treat you the same."

Others?

The bodyguard who lost his pride in the groin grunted.

Umirap si Raja. "Yeah, sure, sure, whatever makes you feel better. She's stronger than she looks though."

Binalewala ko yon. "Anong kailangan mo?"

Napakurap kurap siya. "Nakalimutan mo na ba ang banquet?" Litong lito siya. "I'm quite offended that you would, even after I personally invited you."

"So you think you can try to kidnap me?"

"Not think, know. Guys?"

Bigla nila akong hinila sa braso at inaalis sa bahay. I tried to scream, but they were sure to cover my mouth so I wouldn't. Ang isa sa kanila ay binuksan ang pinto ng limousine at ipinasok ako doon.

"Merry christmas, Siobhan." Someone said.

Nilingon ko iyon at nalaglag ang panga. "Yeshua? Colleen?"

They looked fine for fellow kidnapped people, though they were in their pajamas like me.

Naglahad sakin si Colleen ng pagkain. "Wanna have some cookies?"

"Anong ginagawa niyo dito? Kinidnap din ba kayo ni Raja?"

It took them a while but they finally admitted it. Their parents were already asleep when they took them.

"Nalaman nila ang sugat ko sa balikat kaya nakuha nila ako." Yeshua grumbled. "How they got Shannon was stupid."

"He bribed me." Sabi ni Shannon Colleen.

I blinked. "With a sports car? Money?"

"No, with food." Sabay kagat sa kanyang cookie.

Umirap at suminghap si Yeshua. "We could've gotten away, but he told us he was going to do something to you unless we stay with him."

"Good thing they did." Singit ni Raja at nagsimula nang mag drive.

"You have us here now. So, what do you want?" I demanded.

"Obviously you're here for the christmas banquet." He told us as the limousine began to move. "But also, you're here to help me persuade my brother to come to the banquet with us."
