Chapter 55

Gabby's P.O.V

My eyes brimmed with tears as I looked at Joel in front of me, he looked ever so peacefully right now with his leg in the air.

Nurse Bonnie walked in, she looked at me and smiled. "Hey there darling, you've been here all night then?"

I looked up at her and smiled. "Yeah, I can't leave him alone."

She let out a soft chuckle then pulled out a plastic bag from behind her, she placed them on the table and looked at me. "These are his things, I brought them to you to save yourself time from picking them up."

"Thank you."

"I'll be back after his surgery."Nurse Bonnie said with a nod then walked out of the room.

I got up from the chair and picked up the bag, I opened the bag to see his leather jacket, his shirt ripped into shreds and his jeans.

His phone was on top but cracked and by his phone was a red velvet box. I looked at it and picked it up from the bag.

I stared at the box for a few seconds, wondering what it could be and who it was for.

Dr Andre walked into the room, in his scrubs and I quickly put the box back into the bag.

He clapped his hands together and looked at me. "He's going in for surgery now."

I nodded. "Thank you, please do look after him."

He nodded. "He's going to be perfectly safe."

Two other people dressed in blue scrubs began to push Joel's bed out, I looked at dr Andre. "It will be okay won't it?"

"Gabby, he's going to be just fine."He replied with a nod. "It's something that many doctors have done including me."

"Okay, I put all my faith in you then."

He nodded. "See you in a few hours." Then he left along with Joel in his bed.

I let out a sigh and decided to leave the room and see everyone else, I walked down to Richard's room to see him awake and Anouk sat down next to him.

"Hey."I said with a beaming smile on my face as I walked into the room.

Richard looked at me then looked back at the celling, Anouk looked at me and smiled. "Hey, Gabs."

"How's Richard doing?"I asked as I looked at her then looked at Richard.

"I can still speak you know! The only thing I can't do is feel my legs but I've got the mouth don't worry!"Richard replied in annoyed tone. "And my ears work too!"

I let out a sigh and looked at Richard. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to, how are you feeling?"

Richard let out a sigh and looked at me. "I'm feeling like shit."

Anouk rolled her eyes at him then looked at me. "Have you seen the twins yet?"

"What?"

"Amal gave birth early in the morning, around about 1."Anouk replied with a smile on her face. "I was there for it."

"Aw, did she?"I gushed as I looked at Anouk with massive smile on my face. "What did she have then?"

"Boy and a girl."Anouk said with a soft chuckle. "Boy, was she screaming all sorts to Zabdiel."

"Aw poor Zabdi."I said then looked at Richard then at Anouk. "I'm going to go see Amal then, I'll see you both in a bit."

"See you."Anouk said as I walked out of the room.

I let out a sigh of relief and walked to Amal's room, I walked into the room with massive smile on my face as I saw Cyrus with Zabdi's mum, sitting on the chair talking to Amal.

"Congratulations!"I said with a massive smile on my face as I looked at her.

She looked at me and let out a soft chuckle. "Gracias."

Cyrus jumped off Zabdiel's mum's lap and ran to me, he pulled me into a tight hug then pulled away from the hug. "Hey auntie gabby."

"Hey marieno."I said with a grin on my face. "Happy that your siblings are here?"

He nodded eagerly. "I can't wait to see them, daddy is coming in a bit to take me to see them."

My hand ruffled his hair as I looked at him and smiled. "You are going to be great big brother."

"Thank you auntie gabby."

I walked over to Amal and looked at her. "Anouk told me about what you did to Zabdiel."

Amal rolled her eyes and looked at me. "He decided to put kids in me so he deserves it."

"Mhm, okay then."

Her face slowly became pale as she looked at me then Cyrus cuddled up next to her.

"Are you okay?"I asked as I looked at her with a worried expression on my face.

Before she could answer, her whole body began to shake like she was having a seizure, Cyrus looked at her for a few seconds then let out a scream. "Mumma?"

Zabdi's mum pulled Cyrus away from her as I quickly pressed the button for help above her and looked at her. "Amal?"

Suddenly, the rush of doctors and nurses came into the room. Cyrus began to sob as his grandma pulled him into a tight hug.

I took a step back and looked at Amal in front of me, just shocked and knowing that we couldn't lose her either.

The doctor turned around and looked at me. "You need to go, you and the other two need to leave."

Before we knew it, we were pushed out of the room into the corridor. Cyrus pulled away from his grandma and looked at me. "A-Auntie?"

I looked at him as my eyes brimmed with tears and pulled him into a tight hug. "Don't you worry my marieno."

I know it's short but my exam is tomorrow and I'm so worried about it also I can't hear Ricky Martin either so I'll be a nervous wreck!

It's your girls birthday today!! My cake had everyone on it and it was actually a good day tbh.

Let's just hope I pass the exam tomorrow!!!!
