Chapter : Epilogue (47)

Akshara

-5 years later-

I woke up to the sound of a soft knocking on my door. I fumbled around in bed, squinting in the darkness and searching for my phone. Upon unlocking it, I found the time to 3 a.m. Who in God's name was knocking at my door at such an ungodly hour?! Grumbling under my breath, I shuffled out of bed, edging over my roommate's bed and placing my hand on the cool door knob. I turned it, and opened the door, a loud yawn escaping my mouth. Upon seeing the person, my yawn morphed into a gaping mouth, and I'm sure that my eyes were so wide that it was a wonder they hadn't jumped out of the sockets.

Jai.

"Jai!" I almost yelled, before enveloping him in a tight hug. "Akshy. I missed you, sissy." He laughed, hugging me back. I held onto him for a while before pulling back to glare at him. I punched him on the shoulder once. "Ouch! What was that for?!" He demanded, glaring at me. "That, was for not telling me you were actually coming to visit me and for forgetting to say you love me!" I poked my tongue out at him, making him smile at me again. Jai shook his head, before shoving me aside and barging into my room.

My room at BuiC was a very simple but pretty one. My roommate and I had gotten it painted in a light blue, with two desks- one for each of us, a huge book cupboard and one desktop with party speakers. A small plastic blue chair stood awkwardly in the corner, not really serving any purpose. Jai dumped his baggage on my bed, before jumping onto my roommate's bed. I let out a strangled cry, when my roommate woke up, yelling.

"WHAT THE HELL?!?!?" my roommate yelled.

"AKSHARA! THERE'S A BURGLAR IN YOUR BED!!!" Jai yelled, throwing punches at my roommate's body.

"Akshara?!?! WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?!"

"Don't worry sissy! I'll take care of this crook!"

Punch thrown.

Yelp heard.

Before the two could make any noise and wake up the entire damn corridor, I flicked on the lights and clapped my hands together loudly.

"Ouch! My irises are actually burnt!"

"You are a very mean sister!"

They were actually behaving like two-year olds, complaining and whining.

"STOP! BOTH OF YOU!" I yelled, and that shut them up. "Jai! First off, do you really think I'd happily let in a burglar to my room?!" I demanded, furious. Jai shook his head, his eyes dazed in confusion. "Second, that's not a burglar. It's my roommate, Chelsea." I said, sighing, feeling tired all of a sudden. Jai looked down at the bed, where he sat straddling her, and smiled sheepishly at her.
