Today was the day. Today I will ask (Y/N) out. I've been liking her - or was in love with her - for a long time now. I don't know why I was scared but it just felt weird. After all, I never asked anyone out - ever.
I was currently in my room, checking myself in the mirror and going through the little speech I made up in my head. It was silly, I know, but I wanted to make it perfect. I didn't want to stutter or scare her. Suddenly the door opened and Mikey came rushing in.
"LEO!! I need your help", he screamed.
"Calm down a little. What's going on?", I wanted to know.
"I'm nervous and don't know what to do. So I figured given the fact you're alway so calm...", he started and looked at me.
I rolled my eyes. I might always look calm but deep down I am not. Especially not today. I went over to him, placed my hand on his shoulder and wanted to gently pushed him out the door again.
"Not today Mikey, I have something to do", I said.
"I'm in love with (Y/N)", he confessed.
I froze in my steps and looked at him.
"Wh-What?", I said.
"I love her! SheÄS everything I ever wanted you know", he said.
"No no no no", I mumbled.
"What's wrong Leo?"
"You can't be in love with her", I said a bit harshly.
"Why not? I'm allowed too love whoever I want", he gave back.
"You can't okay? Because I'm in love with her", I said.
"You are what?"
"You heard it Mikey."
"Fuck", he said and paced around the room.
Both of us went silent for a while, trying to come up with a solution.
"We have to tell her", Mikey then said.
"And then what?"
"I don't know."
I sighed. He was right, she needed to know. But now that Mikey was in the game I was even more insecure about everything.
"Let's got", I said and pulled my little brother with me.
We found her in the kitchen where she was cooking something. Thank God she was alone, we didn't need any witnesses with this.
"Uhm (Y/N), can we talk to you?", I said.
She turned around, gave us a quick look and smiled.
"Sure, what is it?", she wanted to know.
"Well, ...", Mikey started and rubbed the back of his neck.
I gave him a quick look. Way to let me down bro. Thank you.
"Okay you're worrying me now", she said and came closer.
I took a deep breathe and figured it would be best to just tell her.
"We're in love with you ... both of us", I confessed.
"You ... what?", she said and looked from me to Mikey.
"Yeah", he said and blushed.
"Oh ... wow... Are you serious?", she wanted to know.
Mikey and I just nodded. God this was embarrassing.
"Well ... I'm in love with you to. One that is", she shyly replied.
"Oh shit", Mikey said which made all of us laugh.
"I hope the other one isn't too sad afterwards", she said.
"We can take it", I assured her.
"Okay ... I'm in love with you ____", she confessed.
