If it was the first time meeting your family he'd be so nervous. Your family knew what he was but he was still self-conscious. Would they like him? Would they be afraid? Would they actually accept him? He was a nervous wreck the whole time from when you left the lair to your family's house. After greeting them and everything went okay he'd relax a little. He was still unsure what to do and afraid to say or do something wrong. Could you imagine him breaking something in your parents house? Oh God. It would take him a while to get used to everything. He wouldn't talk much but if he did he tried to be a gentleman and show how well he was treating you. Then, when it came to walking through your hometown, he literally wanted to know every story and memory you had of a certain place. The first ice cream you had. The place where you made your first snow angel. EVERYTHING. He was so interested in your life and story. Your family was interesting too though. He'd try his best to please them.
