I groan and open up my eyes slowly. The area around me is slightly blurry and the ground is soft and broken. My body feels all tingly and sore. A massive headache is making its way all around my skull and it feels like its not going away anytime soon. My eyes start getting heavier and heavier as I start to drift in and out of consciousness along with the tides around me. I try to keep myself awake by fluttering my eyes, but the pain is dragging me under just as fast as I can blink. Then suddenly, I see a small silhouette approaching me. It seems to look like a child. I turn over to my opposite of my body facing away from the small stranger to check on my gem. Putting my hand under my shirt and over my heart, I feel that my white g/s is still intact with no cracks it seems. Whew. That's a relief.
I hear a muffled shout coming from the stranger near me. The water and ringing in my ears makes it hard for me to hear, but I can make out a few words. "Guys! Come... Looks injured... Need to bring him/her... To temple!"
I stay on my side, until I feel somebody or something pick me up. My eyes are still fighting to stay open, but the pain is about to win and take me under. Blurriness fades in and out of my vision, but I can make out a little bit of my rescuer. Its a woman, and she has visors and a black cubed afro.
I try to raise my hand to make sure that I'm not imagining her, but my hand falls short and flops down onto my waist. "Don't worry, I got you. You're safe now." After she said that, I decide to pass out. I know that it's risky and skeptical to trust people so easily like that, but with the pain I'm in, you'd understand.
