Ch.73

                       "What?!" Steven and Connie yell at me as I ask Yellow and Blue to do the most horrific act that any gem would have to suffer if they disobeyed their leaders. Yellow's and Blue's eyes go wide as I yell at them again, "SHATTER ME!" My soul begins to ache as I beg for them to kill me. "That's just plain suicide, besides we should make you suffer for what you have done to us and on top of all that, you proclaim that you are White herself." Yellow says as she looks me dead in the eye. "You should be ashamed of calling yourself her. What would she say if she heard you talk that slander? We wouldn't have to shatter you, she would shatter you herself." I rise from my knees after Blue's statement and offer my hands to both of them, "Let me prove it to you two then." "Steven, get your gem poofing hybrid away from us. We don't trust that... thing." Blue says with a disgusted look. Steven comes to my side and places his hand on my  right extended forearm, "Yellow, Blue, Y/n isn't lying. He/she is really White Diamond. Let him/her show you. He/she won't hurt you. Will you Y/n?" I shake my head, "I give you my word." Yellow and Blue look at each, then back at me. Yellow rolls her eyes, "Fine, but no funny business." I nod. Both galactic leaders take my hands hesitantly and just like Steven and Connie, as soon as they touch my hands, their eyes turn pure white. After a minute or two, both Diamonds drop their hands and look at me with tears in their eyes, "Starchild?" I look down with a frown, "Do you believe me now?" Before I can say anything else, two huge shadows lurk over me and when I look up, a yellow and a blue hand comes reaching for me. My green eyes widen, "Uh-oh." "Starchild!" Blue yells as her and Yellow hug me. Blue lets out her aurora, making everyone shed tears. "We thought you were gone, shattered, along with Pink, but you," Yellow looks down at me with a smile, "you've been on Earth all along too?" Their grip is tightening around me. "We missed you so, so much Starchild." Blue says as she simmers her aurora back down. "Can't... breathe." Both of them look at me and sees me struggling, so they put me down. "Sorry Starchild," Blue wipes her eyes with a smile, "Its just that we thought we lost you, along with Pink." I catch my breath, "Its okay." I give them a thumbs up, "I'm good."

                        They both smile at me, but then Connie interrupts  our little family reunion, "Um guys, I hate to break this little reunion up, but we need to get out of here before anything bad happens. The gems are still vulnerable in their gemstone states." Steven nods. "Steven, come on. Grab the gems. Let's get out of here." Steven does what he's told and him and Connie grabs the rest of our family. "Right. I hope they're okay." I walk over to the two and place a reassuring hand on his shoulder, "They're going to be fine." "Amethyst would usually be back by now." "They'll be out for a little while," I look over to see Yellow wiping her tears and looking at her hands, "they took a direct hit from me." "Yellow, we got to get them out of here, before White finds out about any of this." Good thing White can't see what I do anymore or else we all would've been Diamonddust. Yellow stands up along with Steven and Connie and starts marching towards and pass us, "Right. Quickly. Your legs are this way." We quickly walk with Yellow and Blue to Pink's ship, but I still can't help but feel sad about me poofing the two giants. "Starchild, what's wrong? Why are you frowning?" Blue asks as she looks down at me, but I just look away from her glance. "Its... nothing." "Starchild, you know that you can tell Blue and I anything, right? We are what the humans call 'your family.'" I look up at Yellow, who turns her head to give me a small smile, "You probably don't remember, but like Pink, we used to be around each other a lot." She reaches her hand down and grabs me and puts me on her shoulder, then snaps her head back forward. I smile a little, "So, tell us what's worrying you." I sigh with a frown and look at Blue, then back at Yellow, "I still feel very guilty that I poofed you two and I'm so, so sorry." Silence makes up the atmosphere between us for a moment until Yellow speaks up, "Why are you sorry Starchild?" I look up at her with a confused expression, "Why am I sorry?" "Yes, Starchild, why are you sorry that you poofed Yellow and I? We had Karma coming to us and you was just avenging your family." "Blue and I would've did the same thing, wouldn't we, Blue?"  Blue nods as my attention goes back and forth between my newly discovered family members. "So, you two aren't mad or disappointed in me? You aren't going to punish or beat me?" Yellow looks down at me, "Why would we beat you?" I look down at her shoulder with a frown, "Nevermind. So, do you two forgive me?" The two giants look at each other with a smile, then turn to me, "As long as you forgive us of our actions." I smile at them both, "Deal." Blue comes over and gives Yellow a side hug and lets me hug them both to at the same time, "Thanks guys."

                     Our moment is short lived as we break the hug and scurry to Pink's ship. "We're almost there!" Blue announces, then after a few more feet, we end up at a halt in front of Pink's ship. "Here we are. Hurry, get inside." Yellow instructs us and we do as she says and I jump off her and dash to the ship, alongside Steven and Connie. We are almost to the ship, but of course, something has to pop up... literally. White Pearl pops up in front of us in one of the white bubbles that I have came very familiar with. She appears right in front of us, "You're not going anywhere." I roll my eyes. Ugh, this woman. I extract my fangs and hiss at her, "Oh yeah, and who's going to stop us? You?" I chuckle, but then the ground starts to shake and before I know it, White's head ship lands on top of Steven's legs. My eyes go wide, "That ain't good."  "You've made a grave mistake. Go to your rooms!" The ground shakes as White Pearl speaks to us. Oh great, we're all grounded now. "Uh... which rooms should we go to?" "Blue, don't make her angrier than she already is." I can't help but chuckle some. I'm rubbing off on Blue. "We're busted." Steven says. "Looks like this just turned into a face-off." Connie states the obvious. The eyelids of White's ship opens up to reveal a pair of unsettling eyes. The eyes look down upon us and I can't help but whince, "Close em'! Close your eyes! They're freaking me out." I look over at Steven and see that he's starting to tear up, then I look back at the conjoined ships, "You're even making the children cry!" He looks down at our family in his hands, "Amethyst, Pearl, Garnet? Please... I think we're in really big trouble." I put a hand on his shoulder, "Hey, its going to be okay. We can-" I get interrupted by a bright light, almost looking light a shooting star, coming our way in my peripheral vision. "What the heck is that?!" I straighten up my posture, "It looks like Yellow's and Blue's ships." My vision didn't fail me now, it is Yellow's and Blue's ships and they're aiming right at White's ship.  "Yellow, Blue! Did you have a hand in this?" "Ha! Good pun, Steven." I laugh. "No way."  "White, that wasn't us!" "We swear!" Both Blue and Yellow sound shocked and are desperately trying to convince White it wasn't them. "Then, who's that?" Steven asks the air, but Connie answers him back, "Who cares?! Knock her out!" Blue and Yellow's ships square up against Pink's and White's, then continues to fight them. The arms uppercut the opposing ships, sending them high into the air and making them crash into some nearby buildings. "Who's responsible for this?" Yellow asks as her ship descends down from the sky and opens its palm revealing a yellow bubble and Bismuth?! "Gasp!"  We look up at Bismuth, "I always wanted to uppercut an upper crust! Hahaha!" "Bismuth!" the kids yell in unison as I just wave. Bismuth jumps to the surface of the platform and as soon as she lands, all of us rush over to her. "You came!" "Heck yeah, we did." I arch a brow, but then I read Steven's mind to find out that he used his dream state to send out an S.O.S. signal. That smart boy. "We?" Blue's ship lands as Bismuth keeps on speaking to us, "Of course." Suddenly a blue bubble appears and Peridot and Lapis emerge in dramatic poses, showing off their new forms. "You thought we wouldn't be here at a time like this?" I smile as I hear Peridot's familiar voice. Lapis smirks as Peridot winks as she holds up peace signs with both of her hands. "Lapis Lazuli and Peridot!" I smile to myself. They always have to make a grand appearance.
