~Time Skip~
"Easy does it bud." I say quietly as I put Steven down on his bed. He fell asleep around two a.m. on the beach after we celebrated New Year's for a few more hours. Greg took Connie home after we said goodnight and apparently that was Steven's cue to fall asleep. After I tuck him in, I quietly make my way down stairs after patting Lion on the head and telling him goodnight.
Amethyst and Pearl is already in their rooms doing whatever, but Garnet is sitting on the couch waiting for me. I sit down on the couch with a small sigh and wrap my arm around her shoulders bringing her closer. My feet find their way on the coffee table, while my head finds the back of the couch, "Finally, some couple quality time." Garnet laughs a little and snuggles closer to me, putting her head on my inner shoulder and her left arm around my stomach, "Yeah, at the late hours of the night." I smile, "Its better than none though." "True."
I feel her head tilt up, "Love, who was that on the phone?" Sigh, I was hoping she wouldn't ask, but I knew that she would eventually, can't blame me for hoping. I let out a sigh and look down at her with a slight frown, "It was Bill." She automatically pops up, "Bill?! What did he want?!" She whisper yells. I readjust myself on the couch where I can face her and hold her hands. Another sigh escapes my lips, "Well first of all he wanted to tell us a Happy New Year..." Her hands tighten around mine, so I use my thumbs to trace circles on her knuckles to help ease her. It seems to work some as I see her visibly calm down a little, "Is that the only reason?" I shake my head, "No, its not."
Her hands tighten around mine again. Oh jeez, how am I going to say this? "What else did he want?" I bring her hands up for a kiss, then lower them, "He wants me to come back down to Louisiana to make things right." Her mouth drops a little, "He wants what?" I sigh, but repeat myself, "He wants me to come back down to make things right." She let's go of my hands, stands up and starts to pace a little. "No. No. No. He can't do this to us, not now, not ever." I arch a brow, what can Bill not do?
I stand up and go over to her, she's mumbling to herself, probably Ruby and Sapphire talking to each other. "We can't lose him/her again. We won't let him. Y/n has to stay here." It seems like she's forgotten that I'm even here, until I catch her and she looks up at me. "Garnet, what's wrong?" I take off her visors to see tears threaten to leak from her beautiful eyes, "Garnet." Before I can comfort her, she splits.
Ruby and Sapphire are standing in the middle of the living room looking away from me. I kneel down and grab their gem hands, "Loves, what's wrong?" Tears brink both of their eyes as sniffles escape both of them. They still refuse to look at me, that breaks my heart. I move in closer and give them both a hug. Heat makes up my left side body, while coldness makes up my right side. I hear them both let out a gasp as I just hold them there, "Loves, I know you don't want me to know what y'all seen in my possible future, but if it keeps you two in this state, I must know."
I pull back from them and see that a few tears has spilled. My thumb rubs the evidence off their cheeks and it goes silent for a moment. I look at them with pleading eyes, "Please, I have to know." They look at each other, then after a moment, they look back at me. Sapphire let's out a shaky breath and Ruby holds her hand, "Okay... But not here." I stand up and I escort them to the bedroom hand in hand in hand. My gem glows at the door granting us access to my room, "Queens first." I give them a little smile and they give me one in return as they walk over the threshold.
We all get on the bed and sit across from one another, "So, shall we go straight to the point?" I ask as my hands find their's again. "It would be the best if we did. Just like ripping off a band aid." Ruby looks over at me and I give her hand a squeeze. My attention then makes its way over at Sapphire and I give her hand a squeeze. She's nervous, but she relaxes a bit when I give her a little smile. She let's out a shaky exhale, "Y/n... We saw you possibly dying by your uncle's hand." Oh. That's what they were nervous about.
"Babe? Are you okay?" I must've zoned out a little. Looking up at the duo, I answer them, "Yeah, I'm okay." I let go of their hands and run my fingers through my hair. I can see them looking at me in concern out of my peripheral vision. My calmish attitude must be confusing them. Both a hot and cold hand finds my hands, "You don't seem to be upset or anything." I sigh and get out of bed and start taking my clothes off, not facing them.
I can feel them staring at me, just like the night when we all made love for the first time, when I zoned out about them asking about my scars. "I'm fine... To be honest, it doesn't surprise me that my uncle would try to kill me." I pull my shirt over my head and turn back to the duo. "It doesn't?" I drop my clothes to the floor and join them back on the bed, "Nope." My body decides it wants to stretch out, so I lay down between the two. "Babe, we just told you that Bill is gonna try to kill you! How are you not upset?!" She's steaming a little, so I sit up and pull them both close. I kiss them both, "Loves, I'm not upset because I know how most vampire and werewolf feuds end and I've accepted it, but there is a slight chance that it won't come to that."
They look at each other, then back to me, "You've accepted it?" I nod, "Yes, but I know that y'all won't." "Ya darn right! Babe, we are talking about you possibly dying again!" "I know, I know, but-" Sapphire cuts me off, "Y/n there is no buts about it! We don't want you going back down there! You are not going back down there! We need you!" I can hear her choking up, "Sapphy I-" she interrupts me again, "Y/n we want and need you here. Alive and well with us. We want to spend forever with you. We want to marry you. Have children with you. Grow older with you. We want you. We're scared if you go down to Bill's that we'll never get to do any of that. We don't want to lose you."
My eyes look back from Sapphire to Ruby and back. "We can't lose you." "Y'all want to have children with me?" They both look at me with a small blush, "Y-Yeah. We want to have the whole nine yards with you, but we can't if we lose you. We love you so much, we don't want nothing bad happening to you." A smile makes it way across my face and I pull them into a tight hug, "I love y'all too and I want the whole nine yards with y'all, but-" They both pull back, "But what?" I sigh, "I have to go back down there to at least try to make things right with Bill. There is still a slight chance that he won't kill me." "But, there is a big chance that he will, or try to anyways." They both frown at that possibility.
"But like I said, there's a chance he won't and I have to take that chance. Just like how you two escaped Homeworld. Y'all knew that y'all could've gotten shattered if they caught you for escaping, but y'all took the chance and everything turned out just fine now, didn't it?" They nod, "And my situation is no different. We just have to do it and hope for the best..." I hold them close to me and lean back, "And with you two by my side, I can't lose, can I?" I hear them both chuckle, "No." "So, let's put the negative possibilities away and focus on the positive. I told him that I would come back down after our wedding, so until then let's relax and be with each other and have fun with the family, okay?" "Okay." I smile and kiss the tops of their heads. We all needed this talk and I'm glad we finally got it over with.
