         "Oh my gosh! Ruth!" I stand up and hug her. She returns the hug, "Long time no see cousin. How's it going?" I pull back from her to get a better look at her, I haven't seen her since I was eleven. "You don't even know." She smirks, "That's why I'm asking." I give her a playful punch. "What was that for?" Now its my turn to smirk, "For being a smart aleck and for not visiting for so long." She gives me a worried look, "I did come to visit, but Uncle Drac said you ran away." My hearts breaks a little and I look down with a frown, "Oh."
"Come on, let's sit down." She pulls my arms down and drags me down while she takes the vacant seat beside me. She fixes her bun which is holding her long wavy brown hair after I sit, "Let's catch up."
          ~Time Skip Garnet's POV~
         Its been exactly eleven hours since y/n left and I've been missing him/her dearly. I know that he/she had to go and none of us know when he/she will be back, not even Sapphire's future vision. We respect y/n's privacy about his/her future because he/she don't want us or him/herself to know his/her future because he/she wants it to be a surprise. I smile a little. But its going to be extremely quiet and lonely around the temple without him/her.
                ~Pearl's POV~
        I sit at the kitchen counter next to Amethyst and sip on my tea. Garnet is sitting on the couch trying to relax, but I can tell she's having trouble because of her body language. She's squirming in the cushions and has her head propped up on her elbow. "We need to do something." I whisper to Amethyst. "Like what?" She whispers back as she looks on at the kids playing a board game. "I don't know, just anything to cheer Garnet up. Ooh maybe we could-" My suggestion gets interrupted by Steven's phone going off.
                 ~Garnet's POV~
         "Hey guys! Come here! Y/n's video calling!" Steven says as he pops up to his feet. "What?" I ask excitedly. "Y/n's calling!" I grab him and Connie and make them sit on my lap. "Well answer it please." I can't hide my smile. When Pearl and Amethyst come and sit by us, he finally answers it.
         Y/n's handsome/beautiful face appears on the screen, "Hello?" "Y/n!" We all shout and his/her smile lights up the screen, "Hey everyone! I'm over here in Iraq." He/she is in some kind of room that's well lit and seems kind of loud. "Love where are you?" His/her beautiful green eyes land on me and he/she smirks, "Too far away from you." My cheeks heat up and Amethyst gags, "Really y/n? I thought since you left, we wouldn't have to listen to any flirting." Y/n rolls his/her eyes, "Quite the contrary Amethyst. Since I'm all the way over here, you'll gonna have to suffer from even more flirting because I'm not there and can't do it behind closed doors." He/she smirks and Amethyst whines, "Nooooooo." And we all laugh.
         I hear an extra chuckle from y/n's end, "Love, who's there with you?" Pearl gasps, "Did you already make a friend?" "Well, I wouldn't say new... Hey Ruth get in here. I want you to meet my family." Ruth? "Who's Ruth?" "I don't know." A mocha colored girl that seems a little shorter than me with brown hair and green eyes comes and sits by y/n.
"Who in the world is this?!" "Ruby, calm down. He/she said its a friend of his/her's." "But she's a girl! She might be his/her old girlfriend! Why haven't we met her?!" "Because he/she knew we would get jealous if we found out if she was his/her old girlfriend." "Ya darn right we would be." Both of you calm down, y/n's about to introduce us.
          "Ruth, this is my brother Steven," he/she winks at Steven and Steven says 'hi', "our family friend Connie," Connie raises her hand and greets her, "my sister-in-law Pearl," Pearl formally greets her, "my sister-in-law Amethyst," Amethyst just says 'sup', "and last, but certainly not least..." "Better not be." "Ruby." "This is my beautiful, smart, and lovely fiancé, Garnet." I nod my head and adjust my visors, "Hello." Y/n has a big smile on his/her face, "Everyone, this is my cousin Ruth."
         Everyone's jaw drops a little. "Y/n, I thought you had no family left?" Steven asks for us all and he/she frowns a little. "Well, I didn't for six years. The last time I saw any of my family was when I was eleven. Her father is my distant uncle." "Awe man, now I feel bad..." "Yeah, that's so sad." Y/n must see me frowning, so he/she cheers me up. "Don't worry you guys, we caught up and we're closer than ever." "Who's your parents Ruth?" I ask, honestly curious. Y/n and Ruth look at each other and smile then looks back at us. "My mother was a moonstone," she shows us her gem on her inner shoulder after looking around, "and my father," she drops to a whisper, "is the wolfman." All of our mouths drop to the floor and we gasp.
          "Really?!" Steven and Connie reply almost jumping out of my lap. Y/n and Ruth just chuckle, "Yep, that's why my last name is Harriet." Ruth smirks. "Ooh y/n, we have so many questions for you!" Steven says. "Like are you kin to the mummy?" "Ooh, oh, are you kin to Frankenstein and or his monster?" "Or-" Y/n raises his/her hand to silence Steven and Connie. "I'll explain my messed up family tree later guys. But for now, we have to go, training is about to begin. I love y'all and I'll try to call and write to y'all every time I can." Y/n says. "We love you too love and be careful." I blow him/her a kiss and he/she returns it. "I will." "Yeah, I'll make sure of it." Ruth says as she places a tight grip with a slap on y/n's shoulder and y/n just rolls his/her eyes with a smile. "Thank you Ruth, you two look after each other." I say with a small smile. "We will. I love y'all " "We love you too y/n." "Bye." He/she gives us a slight wave and ends the call.
           "Well, its good that y/n caught up with his/her cousin." Pearl says as she gets off the couch and heads towards her room with Amethyst close behind. "Yeah, don't worry G, y/n will be fine, especially with his/her cousin, the werewolf." Steven and Connie hop off my lap and get back onto the floor. "Yeah, its so cool that y/n's uncle is the wolfman!" Connie says with a lot of excitement and Steven matches her, "Yeah! And he/she might be kin to more of the famous monsters too!" The two of them go on and on about y/n's possible family tree and I just zone out. Now that I know that y/n has a good family relative and friend with him/her, I know he/she'll be okay. I think to myself as I finally relax back on the couch.
