Ch.41

                      ~ Greg's POV~
       Aye yi yi... This is taking for ever thanks to Pearl. And after going one city over, Garnet said that she only wanted a simple dress, nothing too flashy, but nothing too casual. I guess her's and Pearl's definition for simple is a little diiferernt. She's made Garnet try on about one hundred different dresses and she still ain't satisfy with none of them. Ugh. I decide to text Stuball while I wait on the girls.

Dad Universe: Yo Stuball, how's suit shopping going?

Steven: It went great! We picked out the perfect suit for y/n and we're already home and playing video games!

Dad Universe: Already?! Let me see the suit.

        He sends me a picture of y/n in the suit and he/she looks absolutely stunning.

Dad Universe: Wow! Y'all made a great choice! He/she looks stunning! Garnet is going to love it!

Steven: Thanks dad! But I'm going to get off here and whoop y/n's butt in our fighting game! Love you and good luck dress hunting!

Dad Universe: Love you too! And thanks, I'm going to need it.

      I start to pocket my phone, until I get a quick text from y/n.

Y/n: He's not going to win and thanks for your help Mr. Universe. I really appreciate it.

Greg: You're welcome y/n and you know you can call me dad right?

Y/n: Thanks.

         I put down my phone and Pearl comes out to join me. "How's it going in there?" She let's out a long exhale, "Its going, but she said after this dress, she's done and I think that's coming from both of them." I chuckle as she puts her head in her hands, "Do you want to see a picture of y/n in his/her suit?" She lifts up her head and gives me a huge smile. I pull up the picture that Steven sent me and she gasps. "He/she looks perfect! The color of his/her tie goes great with the suit!"
        Pearl and I continue to talk about the picture, until we hear Garnet cough. "So, how do I look?"

     Our jaws hit the floor and we stand up. Pearl rushes over to her and inspects every last little detail. "You look perfect!" I walk over to her. She's much more taller in her white heels. "You look beautiful Garnet." She blushes as she thanks me. "Garnet, you and y/n are going to look like the most perfect people on your wedding day!" "Is y/n already home?" I nod. "Okay, since the dress don't need any alterations, we can go home, right after we pay." Pearl and I nod, then I go pay for the dress.
   ~Time skip back to the temple. Y/n's POV~
            "You can run, but you can't hide Stevonnie! I'm going to hunt you down and when I find you, you're going to get it!" I see this huge rock in front of me on the beach and I transform myself into a snake and crawl up it. Wrapping myself around the rock, I slither around the top to see Stevonnie behind it and out of breath. Bingo. I quickly transform back into myself and launch at them. But before I make contact, Amethyst jumps from out of nowhere, turns into a giant tennis racket and hit me into the ocean.
          Well played I think to myself as I plummet into the ocean. Boom! Ouch. I make my way back to the surface and I see Garnet arguing with Amethyst and Amethyst facepalms herself. Oh no, this ain't good. I begin swimming back to shore.
        "Amethyst! What we're you thinking?! Why did you swat my fiancé far into the ocean?!" "Chill G. We're playing extreme hide and seek freeze tag." Garnet rubs her knitted brows smooth and I decide to act like I'm hurt. I rise from the pounding waves holding my ribs and I crawl to shore. Everyone comes running over to me and Garnet picks me up. "Love! Are you alright?!" I cough and spit out a little water, "Yeah, *cough* I'm fine, but I think I might of broke a rib or two." I wince in fake pain and Stevonnie and Amethyst looks guilty. Garnet is on the verge between letting out a few tears and spitting out lava, but I have to act it out just a little more until they apologize, which doesn't take long.
         "Y/n, we're very sorry you got hurt." "Yeah bruh, I didn't mean to hit you that hard and that far away." "We're sorry." They both apologize and I tell them to come closer. "Its okay, you didn't mean to. I'm sorry too." "For what?" Their faces turn from concerned to confused. "For this." I poke both of them, "Tag! I win!" I jump out of Garnet's arms and stretch.
       "Wait, what?! You wasn't hurt?!" I smirk, "Nope, and you can't get me because y'all are frozen!" I do a little air fist pump. "Yeah, but I'm not love." I let out a nervous laugh and gulp. Before anyone can say anything else, I kiss Garnet quickly and dash off. "Oh no you don't!" I turn around and see Garnet charging after me. "Yeah, you go G!" "Get him/her!" Steven and Connie cheer her on after they unfuse.
       Oh boy, I'm going to get it, but not if she can't catch me, which I highly doubt she can. I laugh to myself and I turn around to see nothing chasing me. I slow down some, "Where did she-?" I hear crunching coming from the cliff side. Ruby is running horizontally on it and leaving a trail of burnt footsteps. I look at the water on the other side of me and I see Sapphire gliding on ice. Oh no, this ain't good and I can tell this ain't going to end well for me.
          When they both catch up to me on both sides, they tag team me and tackle me to the ground. Oof! "Gotcha! Now you don't have no where else to run!" I look side to side and I squirm to try to get free. "Don't even try running love, admit defeat and we'll show mercy." "No mercy! He/she tricked us!" I gulp as they decide on what to do with me, then they both look at me and I close my eyes to accept my fate, but then I feel both hot and cold lips on my lips. They kissed me?!
        I sit up straight and I look at them so confused, "My punishment is a kiss?" "Yes, because revenge is sweet," "and is best served cold." "So, revenge is ice cream?" They both punch me lightly and we let out a shared laugh, then they help me up and we head back to the others hand in hand in hand.
         I stop them right before we the others and I ask where the ring was because they unfused and I'm becoming a little freaked out. "Don't worry love, its right here, see?" Sapphire shows me the ring on her finger. Shew. "Yeah babe, don't worry. We think of everything." That makes me feel better and I pull out another ring and put it on Ruby's finger. "Yeah and so do I." I kiss both of their hands and they can't hide a blush.
          When we get back to the others, they look surprised that I'm alive or that Ruby and Sapphire is here or maybe all of it. "Ruby! Sapphire! You didn't kill y/n!" "Of course not. What kind of fiancés would we be if we killed our lover before our wedding?" "Very good ones, if  you get away with it." I give Amethyst a death glare, "Oh come on y/n, take a joke will ya?" We all let out an uneasy laugh. "Anyways, Ruby, Sapphire, we was wondering if you two, Pearl and Mr Universe would like to play extreme hide and seek freeze tag with us?" Connie asks.
          They all agree and we decide to play in teams of four. On team one, its Pearl, Steven, and Sapphire. On team two, its Amethyst, Connie, and Ruby. That only leaves Greg and I. "Hmm, who should I choose? My dad or my best vampire friend?" "Steven, I'm your only vampire friend." "And therefore, my best." Touché. He takes a while to decide until Amethyst chooses for him when she picks me up and sets me down on her side. "There, the sides have been chosen, now let's play." She chest bumps me. "Let the odds be ever in your favor." "Was that a quote from The Hunger Games?" Connie asks me. "Maybe..." I reply with a smirk. "Okay enough with the talking, let's play!"  Everyone one cheers and we all take off.
