Story 37

              Sleep finds me rather quickly after Ruby's, Sapphire's, and my great night last night. My body thanked me for sleeping on my bed last night instead out on the cold, wet sand. Ruby and Sapphire made sure I wouldn't leave their sides last night thanks to their death grip around my chest and waist. They never budged. Looking down at them, I wonder how I'm going to get up without waking them.
          I try to squirm my way out gently, but Ruby makes sure her right arm stays around my waist, while Sapphire holds my chest down with her left. Grr. I try to squirm some more, but no luck. "How am I gonna get out of this one?" I ask myself quietly. "Maybe if you ask to get up nicely." I look down at Sapphire with a small smile, "But would that work?" She returns my smile, "Maybe." She tilts her chin up and pecks my lips.
          "What about Ruby? I don't want to wake her up." "She'll be fine as long as we're quiet getting up." I cock a brow, "You wanna get up without her?... Would she like that?" She sits up from her laying position on me and stretches, my eyes not leaving her beautiful naked body. "I've did it before..." She goes down and releases Ruby's arm from my waist with ease, "And she knows I'll always come back."
          Taking the opportunity, I use my superspeed to get out of bed and replace my spot with one of our body pillows, so that Ruby can snuggle with something. Sapphire gently puts Ruby's arm over the pillow and I pick Sapphire up. Her legs automatically wrap around my waist, "I didn't know you like to sneak out." I say with an arched brow. She just chuckles, "Not a lot of people do."
           I take us to the bedroom's bathroom and start getting the bath ready. "Hot or cold water?" She looks up at me, "Cold please." "Alright." I turn the knob to cold and plug the drain. After a quick kiss, Sapphire floats into the tub and I head to the bathroom's cabinets. "Love, what are you doing?" I dig into the cabinet and pull out two blue bath bombs and turn to face her, closing the door with my elbow, "Getting bath bombs."
             I plop them in the water after Sapphire turns the water off and join her myself. "Tingly." "Yep." I sigh as I lean back against the tub. "This feels much better than the carwash." "You took a shower at the carwash? She giggles. I can't help but laugh some as I sit up straighter, "Yeah, and it sucked. And I know a lot about sucking." My tongue pokes out from my mouth. She comes over to me and wraps her legs around my waist and puts her hand on my chest with a smirk, "I know you do."
           I pull her close to me and lean back, placing a kiss on top of her head as I do. The sizzling of the bath bombs around us is the only thing we hear as we just lay there. Our bodies soaking in the blueberry essence. Everything just feels so peaceful, so at ease. I missed it. "I missed this." "Me too. I didn't know if we would ever be able to do this again." I sigh, "Me either..."
         My body starts to tense up at the sudden though of my uncle and my brows knit together, "Ya know, I was so close to going back to Louisiana to fight my uncle, but I didn't." My face droops with a frown and Sapphire tilts her head up, "We're glad you didn't either Y/n. I know it was tempting to go back down there because of your instincts, but we're glad you didn't go, especially not without us." She parts her bangs, revealing her beautiful blue eye, "But we know you will and it scares us."
           I cock a brow, "Did Garnet see me going back down there?" A frown makes its way on her face and she averts her eye. I know that her and Garnet respects my privacy about the future, but sometimes they can't help but see it. "Hey." I cup her cheek and make her face me, "I'm not upset that y'all saw my future, I know y'all can't help it sometimes and there's nothing wrong with that." She puts her hand over mine and nuzzles a kiss into my palm and nods with a sigh, "We did." "Was it bad?" A tear pricks her eye, but she nods none the less.
              My thumb wipes her tear and she starts to go into a full out sob. I sit back up with her and hold her tight, "Hey, hey, hey, its okay." I try to calm her down, but the more I try, the more she sobs. The bathroom door swings open, "Hey, is everything okay in-" We both look over to see Ruby in the doorway and when she sees us, she immediately comes over and gets in the tub with us, not minding the cold temperature. "Sapphy! Are you okay?!" She makes the tub heat up by the seconds and it escalates when Sapphire shakes her head no.
           "What's wrong?! What happened?!" She places a hand on Sapphire's back, but Sapphire leans in closer to me, "She told me that Garnet saw something bad about me going back down to Bill's and then she started crying." Ruby freezes in place and turns a lighter shade of red like she just saw a ghost. Tears then prick her eyes and I'm afraid that she's gonna start crying. "No! No! No! Please don't cry!" My eyes go back and forth from her and Sapphire, but she just takes a big inhale and settles back into the tub and wipes her eyes, "Okay. I'm good."
        Sapphire let's go of me after a few more minutes of soft sobs, then goes back to Ruby. They just look at each other and put their foreheads together and become Garnet again. She wipes her tears and holds her head in her left hand, "We're good." "Garnet..." I push the water with my body and make my way over to her. Instinctively, I grab her hand and cup her cheek, "Garnet, you're not fine... You know you can talk to me about anything. I'm your soon-to-be husband/wife, you can talk to me." She let's out a teary chuckle and I wipe a stray tear with my thumb, "You know, we started trying to help you by letting you talk to us, but I guess now the roles are reversed." She let's out another weak chuckle and looks at me.
            I give her a small smile and lay down between her legs on top of her, "I know, but that's what couples do, they talk and help each other." I kiss her chest and let out a sigh. She runs her fingers through the back of my hair, "Do you wanna talk about it?" I ask her, but she says no and I'm not gonna pressure them. "Okay."
                      ~Time Skip~
         After Garnet and I get ready for the day, we come out of my room hand in hand. Pearl is pouring some tea for Connie and Steven and she gives Amethyst the tea bag to eat. "So Steven, when is Y/n gonna be back?" Connie asks as she carefully sips on her tea. He shrugs, "I don't know, but I hope its before tonight. I really want to bring in the new year with him/her." I smile at that comment, then decide to speak up, "Yeah, it'd be boring if I wasn't here." "Yeah it would Y/n." He takes a sip of the tea and spits it out when he realizes I just spoke and all eyes from the counter meet me, "Y/n!" I give them a small wave, "What up fam?"
          Steven, Connie, and Amethyst bolt over to me and tackle me in a hug, "You're back!" Amethyst says in a relieved tone of voice. "When did you get back?!" Steven asks. "Are you feeling better?! You look better!" I laugh as Garnet helps everybody up and I answer their questions. "Yes, I'm back. I got back last night and yes Connie I'm feeling better and thanks for the compliment." Pearl hesitantly makes her way over to me, but we give each other a light hug, "Welcome back Y/n." "Its good to be back." We break the hug and I'm dragged to the couch by the three amigos.
                      ~Pearl's POV~
       Steven, Connie, and Amethyst drag Y/n over to the couch, which leaves Garnet and I together. I go back behind the counter and pour her a cup of tea and give it to her. "How are you feeling Garnet?" We both take a sip of tea and I can see her visibly relax, "We're okay... We told Y/n that if he/she goes back down to his/her uncle's house, that we're going with him/her." My eyes peer over to the four on the couch, sharing laughs and smiles with one another, "You didn't tell him/her did you?" She let's out a deep exhale after another sip of her tea, "No, and we won't... At least not now." I take a long sip, "Good... Its for the best."
