Its about four p.m. when I wake from the dead. My limbs stretch all across the bed and my back arches with relief. Man if feels good to stretch, especially on a full stomach. It only takes like a vile of blood to fill me up, but when I drink a gem's blood, I feel like I'm going to explode. I turn over and roll out of bed. I feel so refreshed after I got something on my stomach and some much needed sleep. After I freshen up in my personal bathroom and I put on some clean clothes, I make my way to the living room. There's not a soul in sight, not even Amethyst. She would never miss her hourly snack, that's strange. Hmm. "Ahh!" I hear someone scream from above me, then eventually land on my shoulders. "I vant to suck your blood! Bluh! Bluh bluh!" I feel toy fangs around my neck. Steven, I grin, but I decide to play along with him. I fake being in distress, "Oh no! You got me Steven! Now I must become a creature of the night!" I fall to my knees dramatically and eventually to the floor to fake my death. "Success! But wait. Garnet's going to kill me for killing y/n! Wake up y/n! I'm to young to die!" He shakes me rapidly and I wait a minute until he stops, then I rise up like a phoenix from the flames. "I am risen, what is your first command my maker?" He takes out his fangs, "What do you mean what is my command?" I bend down to his level, "Steven, as a vampire, whenever you decide to transform your victim into a creature of the night, the vampire that makes them one is their maker. They get to command their new spawn to do whatever they please." His eyes gleam, but gets concerned when he asks what happens when they don't obey. "When new vampires don't obey their makers, they have this electric sensation in their body that hurts them so much that they eventually obey or they die in rebellion to it." "Oh, who is your maker y/n?" I smirk, "Well until now, it was no one because I was born half vampire, but now since you bit me, you are until you release me." He gives me a devilish smirk, "So you have to do anything I say?" "Yep." "Interesting... Then take me out on the town! We need to go buy costumes for Halloween!" Wait, Halloween? Is it that time of the year already?! I love Halloween! Its the time of the year, where I can go out in public and not get judged of what I am! I can feel my smile taking over my whole face, "Um y/n? Are you okay?" I look down at him with stars in my eyes, "Everything is great! Let's go!" I grab his wrist and drag him out and to the town in lightning fast speed. When we get there, he's struggling to catch his breath, "Oh, um sorry Steven, I'm just excited. I love Halloween!" "Who doesn't?!" My father... He hates anything that let's me express myself. We're standing outside the party store, "Come on Steven, let's go in!" He nods and we go in. "So, Steven, what do you want to be?" He hops on the buggy and rolls down the aisle thinking. "I don't know. Whatever feels me. What are you going to be?" "I know that this is going to sound cliché, but I want to be a vampire." Steven giggles, "But, y/n, you are already a vampire." "I know, but I actually want to act like what I was supposed to be and have fun doing it. All my life, I had to grow up quickly because my father didn't have the time or personality for child play, so I just want to be the vampire, I never was." "Woah, that's deep. It must've been tough growing up with your dad." "It was, that's why I left. Ever since my mom died, he blames me for her death and always took his anger out on me." His face is saddening, man I don't want him to feel sad for me. "But, I'm here now with you and the gems and I can live happily ever after." I ruffle his hair and we continue shopping. After we pay for our costumes, we decide to walk down the strip. Small talk and laughter takes up our time, until we end up in front of the jewelry store. I end up walking into the store as if its calling me. "Um, y/n? Why are we in here?" I laugh to myself and I kneel down in front of him. "Steven can you keep a secret?" His eyes light up, "You can count on me." He gives me a little salute. I pull out my money that I won from the band competition out of my gem and take a deep breath. "I'm going to ask Garnet to marry me and I need your help on picking out the ring." Stars fill his eyes and he looks like he's going to explode, "You're going to ask Garnet to marry you?!" I put a hand over his mouth, "Shh, keep it down or you won't be my best man!" He screams into my hand and I can't help but laugh a little. I put my hand down after I know he's decently calm, "Now are you going to help me or not?" "Yes!" He drags me over to the counter and we start going through the rings. ~Time Skip~ After we finally pick out the perfect ring, we go home. As we sit on the couch, I keep pulling out the ring just to look at it and imagining it on Garnet.

I bought three rings one for Garnet, one for Ruby and one for Sapphire, ya know just in case they split up. "So, when are you going to ask her? Them? Where are you going to ask them? How are you going to ask?" He's hitting me with questions that I don't know the answer to right now. "I don't know Steven, maybe I can pop the question on Halloween or-." The warp pad activates and I quickly pit the ring back in my pocket. Pearl and Amethyst come and join us on the couch. I let out a sigh of relief, "Yo y/n, what's up?" "Oh nothing much, how was the mission?" She shrugs, "Eh, same as usual, but Garnet sent us back because she said that she has to go on a special mission and stuff." "Ah, did she say when she's going to be back?" She shakes her head no. "How was you all's day Steven?" "It was great Pearl! We went costume shopping and jewelry shopping!" I give Steven a death glare, "What do you mean you all went jewelry shopping?" "Steven!" I yell through my teeth, "Come on y/n! They can know and they won't tell!" "What won't we tell?" Amethyst asks confused. I sigh and stand up, "Okay, what I'm about to tell you, you absolutely can not tell Garnet, or I will never forgive you. This includes you too Steven, got it?" They all give me their promise, sigh, "Okay, I'm going to ask Garnet to marry me." "WHHHHHAAATTTTTT?!" Amethyst yells and Pearl covers her mouth. Oh boy.
