Ch.37

                     ~Garnet's POV~
       I sit at the counter with my head in my hands as Steven and the others take care of Lion. Sapphire's future vision is out of whack and y/n is no where to be found. The whole day is almost gone by and it isn't like y/n to not show up. Ugh. Where is he/she?
        "Hey G, future vision still out of whack?" I nod my head. Amethyst places her hand on my shoulder, "Don't worry G, he/she will show up eventually. He/she always does." "Thanks Amethyst." She pats my shoulder and goes back to where the others are.
             ~Time Skip to Halloween~
                       ~Steven' POV~
         "Okay a little to the left... Now a little to the right... Okay! Okay! That's perfect right there!" "Does it look good Steven?" Pearl and Amethyst is helping me hang up a 'Happy Halloween' banner. "It looks perfect! What do you think Lion?" He roars a little bit because he's still hurting a little. "Lion likes it, so it must look good."
          Pearl and Amethyst float back down from the porch railing and comes to stand by me. Amethyst leans on my shoulder, "So are we done here? I have a date with the fridge." Pearl facepalms herself, "No Amethyst, we have to finish decorating and prepare the food." "Ugh..." "Come on Amethyst, its Halloween and when y/n comes back from wherever, he/she is going to propose to Garnet!"
           "WHAT! Y/n is going to propose tonight?!" "Shh! Pearl keep it down!" She pulls herself together, "Okay! Okay. Since y/n is going to propose tonight, we have to make tonight extra special. Steven call everyone you know that will help decorate and tell them its for someone really special. We need all the help we can get." I salute her and I send out a massive text to all my closest friends.

                      ~Close Friends~

Steven: ATTENTION EVERYONE! THE GEMS AND I NEED YOUR HELP DECORATING FOR HALLOWEEN TONIGHT. Y/N IS GOING TO PROPOSE TO GARNET! BUT DON'T RUIN THE SURPRISE OR Y/N WILL KILL ME! TIA.

Connie: WHAT! Y/N IS PROPOSING?! I'LL BE RIGHT THERE!

Greg: WHAT!? I'LL BE RIGHT THERE WITH PLENTY OF FOOD!

Sourcream: Awesome. I'll bring my DJ stuff down and I can be the DJ. Yay. Proposal rave.

Jenny: AWEEE! THEY MAKE SUCH A CUTE COUPLE! Kiki and I will bring pizza!

Peridot and Lapis: WHAT?! GARNET AND Y/N IS GETTING MARRIED?! WE'RE ON OUR WAY!

Sadie: I can bring doughnuts and AWE.

          After I get the word out and twenty million replies, I let Pearl and Amethyst know that help is on its way, and I go check in on Garnet.
                    ~Garnet's POV~
        Calm down you two! We need to stay together! "How can we calm down?! Our boy/girlfriend didn't come home last night! What if he/she is cheating on us?!" He/she would never cheat on us! "Yeah, he/she must be doing something special for us. Yes, that's it." "But, what if he/she is?! What if-?"
         "Um, hey Garnet? How's it going?" I look over to see Steven sitting on the couch beside me. "Oh, hello Steven. I'm doing okay, thanks for asking." "You don't seem okay. What's wrong?" I know he won't stop asking me what's wrong until I tell him. Sigh.
            "Its y/n, he/she didn't come home last night." "Oh, have you tried calling him/her?" No. Ugh. Why didn't I think about that?! "No. Can you call him/her for me?" "Sure." Steven calls y/n's phone a few times, but no one answers. He let's out a nervous laugh, "Um, maybe his/her phone died?" "That better be what happened." "Ruby." "Sorry." "Don't worry Garnet, he/she will show up tonight... He/she has too." He mumbled the the last part out. "Thanks Steven." "You're welcome! Now if you would excuse me," he checks his phone, "Our help is here." "Help?"
         ~Later that night. Y/n's POV~
       I wake up from passing out from the pain my father put me through, to see Igor standing above me. "Master y/n, you're awake! Time to go back to beach!" "Wh-what do you mean Igor?" My vision fades in and out. "Dracula knows that Halloween is Master y/n's favorite night, so Dracula is letting y/n free as reward for helping him, but just for short time. Then come back here on Blood Moon for experiment."
        "So... I'm free?" "Yes!" Igor makes a silver portal open in my bedroom and throws me out, "Bye bye Master y/n! See you in three weeks!" He closes the portal and I lay in a small puddle of my own blood. I remember my phone is in my pocket. Ha! Good thing my father is stuck back in the twelve hundreds! He probably wouldn't of know how to use it anyway.
         Twenty missed calls and fifteen missed messages from Steven?! At yi yi. I swallow the bad taste along with the blood in my mouth and call Steven. "Steven?" "Y/n! Where are you?! Everyone is outside the temple waiting for you!" "Steven, I'm in my room. Come to me, but just you." "Wait, why-?" I hang up on him before he can question me more.
         It seems like forever until I hear a knock on the door, "Y/n! Its Steven!" "Are you alone?!"" "Yes! Now open up!" I flick my wrist and Steven comes in wearing a robot suit. It must be that costume he wore to be that fortune teller. "Y/n! Omgosh are you okay?!" He runs over to me and helps me up. "Yeah, Steven, I'm fine." "What happened to your vampire costume? Why did you switch to a zombie?" Poor Steven. Poor, sweet, innocent, little Steven. I don't have the heart to tell him that this isn't a costume.
           "Wait, never mind, it doesn't matter! Everyone is waiting for you outside! Let's go!" He drags me outside and everyone in Beach City is here. Sourcream and the cool kids are dressed as vampires and playing. Sadie is dressed as a black cat and is talking to Lars, who isn't wearing a costume. Amethyst is dressed as a mummy and is chasing Peridot The Wicked Witch of The West around. Lapis is flying around as a flying monkey chasing Amethyst and trying to save Peridot. Connie the superhero is making small talk with Pearl the ghost. And Onion is dressed as a thief and stealing the horderves. Classic.
       "Where's Garnet?" "Oh her and dad is at the van working on the smoke machine." I look at the van and see Garnet the skeleton and Greg the werewolf working on the machine. "HEY YOU GUYS! LOOK WHO'S HERE!" Everyone looks at me and Steven and cheers loudly. Garnet and I lock eyes with each other and we sprint for each other.
             We give each a glance before we hug each other. "Love where we're you?! You had us worry sick! Ruby thinks you were cheating on us. Were you?" My eyes widen and I break the hug, "Of course not! I would never cheat on any of you! Why would you even think that?!" I do a complete three sixty, running my fingers through my hair. I'm kinda upset that they would even think of that, but I understand why they would think that.
       I grab her hands, "Love, use your future vision and you'll see that I never would cheat on you." "My future vision has been whacky since you been gone. I couldn't think straight because I thought-!" I kiss her and she melts into it. "And to prove that I am yours and only yours, I want to give you something." I limp over to the cool kids and I whisper in Jenny's ear to play the song I want to propose to Garnet with and she gives me the biggest smile and tells the others. They nod in agreement with smiles.

     I take Garnet's hand and I lead her into the middle of the crowd of our friends and family and I start slow dancing with her. "I like your costume love." I twirl her to the farthest I can reach and twirl her back, "I like your costume too, who's idea was it?" "Mmm... It was a mutual decision. Ruby wanted it to look scary, but Sapphire wanted it to look cute." "Well you look so scary, its cute." She snorts a little into my shoulder, "I love you." "I love you too Garnet, and that's what I want to give you...All of me.
       I kneel to the ground and I pull out the ring. She holds her mouth and I start singing the rest of the song.

       "So, what do you say Garnet? Will you give your all to me and marry me?" She tackles me to the ground, I don't even care how much pain I'm in. She kisses me deeply, "So, is that a yes?" Tears come down from both her red and blue eye, "Yes! Of course, yes!" I put the ring on her finger and I look around, "In case y'all didn't hear, she said yes!" Everybody is up roaring in cheers and we get up.
      I kiss her again and we get squeezed into a family hug by Pearl, Amethyst, Steven, Connie, Peridot, Lapis, and Greg. "Oh I'm so happy for you four! I can't wait to plan the wedding!" Steven yells and the small group goes into a frenzy. "Its just like the cookout." Garnet chuckles as she wipes her tears, "Yeah, but now its actually going to happen." I look at the small group arguing and rub the back of my neck, "Yeah."
