Story 35

                  ~Steven's POV~
          "Do you think Y/n will be okay Amethyst? I mean he/she says that he/she will, but-" "Yeah dude don't worry about him/her, if he/she says he/she will then he/she will." Amethyst closes the door behind us when we come back in the temple. "But, we know Y/n. He/she will tell us what we wanna hear and spare us our feelings because he/she don't want us worrying about him/her." Amethyst sighs as she goes over to the fridge and opens it up, "Yeah, but he/she is an adult now and if he/she wants or don't want to open up to us about what he/she is thinking, then he/she doesn't have to." She takes out a bottle of whip cream and squirts it in her mouth as I sigh and slump down on the couch, "I guess you're right." "Aren't I always?" Amethyst says in a muffled tone and I chuckle, sure Ame.
             I'm about to put my forearm over my eyes and relax, until I hear the warp pad go off and my eyes automatically pays attention to the glowing blue light. Ruby and Sapphire are getting off the warp, but they still seem to be in a gloomy mood. I'm always happy to see Ruby and Sapphire, but I prefer them to be happy when I see them. "Ruby! Sapphire! You're back!" I jump off the couch and embrace the two gems with a tight hug.
           "Hello Steven." "Hi." They both return the hug and when I pull back from them, they're smiling. Success! "How was your day?" Stars make up my eyes and I pull them over to the couch to tell them about my day. I sit between them so they both can be by my side. "Today was great! I got to do whatever I wanted! It was awesome!" Sapphire chuckles at my enthusiasm, "What did you do today?" "Yeah, we want all the details." Ruby takes my legs and props them on her lap, while Sapphire lays my head down on her's and starts running her fingers through my hair.
            I put my finger up to my chin and poke my tongue out, "Well, let's see... I guess I could start from the beginning... I got to eat pizza for breakfast. Then I went to the arcade and played a ton of games with dad and Y/n, which I won mostly, probably because Y/n let me. I-" "You saw Y/n today?" Sapphire stops running her fingers through my hair and I look up to see her and Ruby looking at each other. Oops. Maybe I should've left that part out.
          They turn they're attention back on me, "Steven... How is Y/n doing? Is he/she okay?" I squirm to get up and sit between them, but once I get my bearings, I take both of their hands in mine and look at them, "He/she is doing good. Trust me, dad and I are taking good care of him/her." They both let out a sigh of relief and they both squeeze my hands, "Good." I smirk, "Yeah, we threatened if he/she doesn't take care of him/herself that we would get some rope." They both laugh a little, "Yeah, he/she hates it when we get the rope involved." "Yes, but its effective to say the least." We all laugh at that one, but then the laughter dies down, "Thank you Steven for watching over Y/n for us, we really appreciate it." "Its really killing us that we don't know where he/she is, but if you say that he/she is doing good, then we're relieved."
           I give out a nervous chuckle and rub the back of my neck, "Yeah, he/she is still in Beach City and is doing good." "Where is he/she at in Beach City Steven?" My blood runs cold and I'm pretty sure I'm pale. "Steven?" Ruby snaps her fingers in front of me. I shake my head, "I'm here. Sorry I must've zoned out for a minute. Um what was we talking about?" "Y/n." Amethyst says with a frown. I forgot she was even in here because she was so quiet. "Y/n," my nervous laugh returns, "yeah, what about him/her?" "You was just gonna tell Ruby and Sapphire where he/she is staying." She says as she heads over to the magical door and opens it to her room, "And no offense dude, but I'm not gonna be here when you tell them." She closes the door. Dang it. What have I gotten myself into?
           The duo turns their attention back on me, "What does she mean by that Steven?" I look at the two and give them a nervous chuckle... "Well, you see..."
                     ~Y/n's POV~
          I smile as I try to make the sand more comfortable for me to sleep on. Grabbing a piece of drift wood, I put it down on the soft sand to use as a pillow. Hey it might not seem comfy, but its better than using a rock for one. I lay down and put my arms behind my head as a little extra cushion and stare up at the wood above my head, today was just what I needed to get my uncle off my mind.
          My eyes are beginning to droop and I decide to let them win and close my eyes. I yawn, "Goodnight Ruby," another yawn escapes my mouth, "goodnight Sapphire." "It will be if you come home with us tonight." My eyes shoot open at Sapphire's low voice and I sit up quickly. Ruby and Sapphire are standing beside me hand in hand, "Ruby! Sapphire! What are you two doing here?!" I rise to my feet and take a few steps back. I'm thinking about running because I don't know what to do. "Y/n please don't go, we just want you to talk to us and come home." "We miss you."
         I look down at the two halves of my life and kneel in front of them. My hands cup each one of their cheeks, "And you think I don't. I love you two with all my heart, but I'm a complete mess right now and I- I just don't know what to do right now." Sapphire places her hand over mine and places a kiss in my palm, "We'll figure it out love, but just remember you're not alone. I'm here." Ruby places a kiss in my other palm, "I'm here." That familiar glow captures my eye when they let go of my hands and form Garnet. She grabs my hands and kisses them when our foreheads find each other's, "I'm here."
            I can't hold back my tears from streaming down my cheeks, and she  draws me in for a small, but passionate kiss, "And we'll always be here for you. No matter what. We love you Y/n L/n." I smile and I look into her beautiful eyes. She's not lying. She means every word of it, "I love you too Garnet. I love you Ruby. I love you Sapphire. I just love you." She smiles at me and kisses me hard. "Let's head home. You looked really uncomfortable sleeping here." Her hand makes its way from my chest down to my groin. A warm growl comes from deep within my chest, and I can't hide a smirk, "Oh is that the only reason you want me home? Because I looked uncomfortable sleeping?" She chuckles, "Yeah, that's one of the reasons, but," her smile drops, "we really missed you Y/n. We were so worried for you. We didn't know if you was alright or not, but then Steven told us you were and we believed him, don't get us wrong, but we-" "Y'all wanted to see it for your own eyes?" She sighs, but nods, "Yeah."
            I let out a sigh with a smile and stand up. Extending my hand, she gladly accepts it, "Well if y'all are really that worried..." I roll my eyes with a smile, "I guess I'll go home with y'all." "You really mean it?" I can hear the excitement in their voice and when my eyes settle back on them, a huge smile makes up Garnet's face. I smirk, "If it pleases the masses." My body is wrapped tight up in a hug and my lips are greeted with a deep kiss, "Good. Let's go home." I smile, "Yes, please."
