Chapter 32 - Reaper's warning; Can Spectre be trusted?

Unlike Y/N and Reaper, Spectre hadnt recieved any admiration from any of the operators, almost as if they were actively trying to avoid them. But Spectre didnt really care. They didnt come to befriend the other operators and stay with this team forever. Although to their dismay, Y/N and Reaper tried to get them to be accustomed to this timeline, as well as meet the other operators. Ela and Dokkaebi eventually warmed up to Spectre, but the feeling wasnt mutual. As they were showing them around, Spectre, as per usual, didnt really care for his environment. Sooner or later they came across the mess hall.

Y/N: "Spectre, you hungry?"

Spectre: "No."

Dokkaebi: "Even if you arent, most of the other operators are in here. Maybe it'd be a good time to get to know them."

Spectre: "What for? I have no reason to know them, they have no reason to know me."

Ela: "Are you always this stubborn?"

Spectre: "It's something you're going to have to deal with. Besides, as i've stated before, i dont plan to stay for long."

Y/N: "Alright, we wont force you to meet the others, but if they introduce themselves to you, try to be civilized and introduce yourself back."

Spectre: "If it gets you off my back then so be it."

Spectre proceeded to head his own way.

Y/N: "Wait, you're not coming with us?"

Spectre: "I have my own schedule to follow. Ill be at the shooting range."

Before they could say anything else, Spectre cloaks theirself in order to get away.

Dokkaebi: *sarcastically* "They sure are quite the charmer..."

Reaper: "I expected this sort of behavior. Spectre is not one who socializes with others. Spectre is a lone wolf all in all."

*the four go in, grab their lunch and take a seat. Ash shortly joins their table*

Ash: "Hey, guys."

Y/N: "Hey, Eliza."

Ash: "What is the deal with that Spectre person?"

Ela: "According to Reaper, nothing."

Dokkaebi: "Apparently that's just how Spectre is."

Ash: "I dont mean this as an insult, im just genuinely curious, but if Spectre's goal was to kill Y/N, why did they take down the White masks as well?"

Reaper: "Spectre is quite meticulous when it comes to liquidation orders."

Ash, Ela: "Liquidation orders?"

Reaper: "That is how Spectre refers to execution missions. The point is, not only do they excel at stealth, but they're a surprisingly good strategist. Although, their strategies tend to be on the extreme side."

Ash: "How so?"

Reaper: "Spectre doesnt care for other people's lives. They often compare the battlefield to a game of chess. They dont care how many people's live are sacrificed, so long as they complete their liquidation order."

Dokkaebi: "That's awful... What kind of sick, twisted person would someone have to be to think like that?"

Ash: "I knew i wouldnt like the sound of this person. I dont know why Six allowed Spectre to join."

Y/N: "Now, hold on, let's not jump to conclusions. Six may have had her reasons."

Ela: "Like?"

Y/N: "Well for one, as Reaper stated, Stealth."
