Chapter 22 - The Coalescence Prototype

With most of the females having turned on Y/N after pulling that stunt on Caveira, Dokkaebi figured it would take his mind off of it if the three of them when out for lunch instead of eating in the mess hall. She had heard from Thatcher of a new restaurant opening up in the heart of Herefordshire, and suggested to Ela and Y/N that they try it, to which, they agreed. Y/N helped Ela stand up and grabbed her crutches. The three of them head to the parking lot and use one of the unarmored humvees to travel to Herefordshire. It takes them about an hour to get there, and they see that it is an italian based restaurant. Y/N has never had the chance to taste italian food, so he was all for it. Ela didnt mind at all. She was hungry enough to try out anything. With that settled, the three of them went in and asked for a table in the patio area. They picked up their menus and looked over it, looking to see what they were gonna eat. However, what they didnt know what that there was an entity watching them from the rooftop of a greenhouse nearby.

???: "Scanning... ... ... *looks at Y/N* Subject name, Y/N L/N, High Value Individual confirmed. Mission objective updated. Secure and protect HVI and await further instructions."

The being, seeming robotic at first glance, continues to observe the three as they eat their lunch with bright faces on the due to how delicious the food is.

Y/N: "Man, i had no idea italian food tasted so delicious. It's almost as if i was back at my mother's place eating her homecooked food."

Dokkaebi: "I love the lasagna. I feel like i've come out of this experience a new girl."

Ela: "Grace, thank you so much for telling us about this place. It was the best food i've had in a while."

Dokkaebi: "Dont thank me. Mike was the one that told me about this place."

The waiter brings them the check, and Dokkaebi was about to pay it, but Y/N insisted he pay for it using the money he got from his first paycheck working for Rainbow. Although he told Six when he first joined that he wasnt interested in the money, in the end, he was grateful that she did pay him so he could treat these two magnificent ladies.

After paying the check and leaving the restaurant, Dokkaebi wanted to stock up on some snacks. They stopped at a convenience store for Dokkaebi to do so. Dokkaebi came out with two bags worth of snacks and a bag full of energy drinks and couldn't help but laugh at Y/N facial reaction. She loaded it into the vehicle as Y/N finished filling it up. They got back on the road and proceeded back to base. As they were driving, they took a moment to admire the scenery, making it even more grand seeing as there were no other vehicles on this road, however, their admiration was cut short when a White Mask convoy intercepted them and forced them to a halt. A team of 12 White Mask terrorists, armed with L85A2 assault rifles, surrounded the humvee.

White Mask: "Out of the car now!"

Seeing as this was an unarmored variant, Y/N knew that the windows were not bulletproof, and trying to drive away could result in the three of them getting injured or killed. And unfortunately for the three of them, none of them were carrying weapons.

Dokkaebi: "Shit, shit, shit..."

Ela: "What do we do?"

Y/N: "Fuck... let's just do what they say for now..."

Dokkaebi: "Are you sure?"

White Mask: "Out Now, this is your last warning!"

Y/N: *whispers* "Remember, callsigns only."

The three get out of the car and are immediately restrained and brought to their knees.

White Mask: "Well, well, so this is the cybernetic soldier. I must say, you've made quite the reputation among us."
