A Little Less

I think i've learned to care a little less this summer.
I've learned that the way I express myself is my choice.
I've always known this, but I've never let myself act on it mostly because out of fear.
Within these last two months, i've gained a bit more respect for myself as well.
Although i often disagree, I deserve to live.
Not only just live, but happily.
I don't need to wake up and just take anyone's shit or pointless remarks towards me.
I don't need to waste nights thinking of those things and agreeing.
I guess i've just been so quick to give up before, that I just started taking losses by default.
I just stopped trying under the assumption I had no chance to begin with.
By surrounding myself with positivity and doing/working towards things I want in life,
I've learned the difference between not being realistic and simply accepting failure.

That being said, I want to say something to you guys and I want you to listen.

Don't ever give up on yourself because of anything.
Don't give up because "_____ is better at it",
Don't give up because "_____ said it won't get anywhere", or
"I just can't".
Always believe in yourself.
I never said it'd happen over night,
But if you start building that foundation to your future and you stop at nothing, eventually you'll build yourself to the top.
People who tell you that you can't do something are usually the ones who believe the same for themselves.
Don't let someone else's views on their future determine yours.
Surround yourself with positivity, support, and love.
And i don't wanna hear the excuse "I can't" because trust me, once you start building your foundation, others will notice.
Either they'll help you build as they also work on theirs, or will simply watch and complain.
I don't know about you, but I've never heard of anyone gaining success from sitting on their asses.
And if anyone tries to tell you that you can't,
Build even harder.
At the end of it all when you're laying in that casket, only your actions will be able to speak for who you were in this life.
Be the person you always envisioned.
Let them talk about the impact you made, the people you touched, and how your legacy will live on.
Once you build up your foundation, gone or not, it won't break. Not unless you make it.
So please, never give up on yourself.

I love you all, see you again hopefully sooner than later <3
