The Runaways

Chapter 33

Childish War

- September 23, 1699 -

It's been two months aboard with the Captain Igward. He's not that bad if I have to admit it. He will be better in the future though but I don't know if I can hold my breath that long.

"Alright men!" He shouted as we all met up on the deck. "Today we're going to be landing in a Spanish town so I want all of ye ready to attack and bring as much treasure aboard as ye can!" England smirked. His black coat flew gently in the wind as he stood boldly.

It's going to seem a little gay if he still thinks I'm a guy and if I tell him that I like him. Just a little... Fabulous.

"Everyone prepare the cannons and yer weapons, we will take over that Spanish town and eventually all of the land the Spanish ever owned!" The men all cheered happily. Except to me as I leaned on the side of the ship, "Yep. Like I've said, monkeys and typewriters."

The men ran around and got to position and began cleaning and everything.

The Captain gave an okay speech but it was over and he looked ashamed. He covered his face with his hands and walked off to his room... Just like everyday this past week, even when he didn't give his speech, it was always the same...

- Many years in the Future -

"Come to think of it, we don't even know what year _____ was sent to." Belarus said as she yawned.

"Not really but I know the years that I was with that pirate girl and I know when she died too." England responded.

Scotland rolled his eyes for he obviously knew more than he was leading on, however a strong bond that was fabricated in the past years is still very much alive and he must not break that bond. *wonk*

"Scotland." Germany called. He turned to look at him and Germany continued, "You said that _____ told you who she was, ja?" Scotland nodded, "I know quite a bit." He simply added.

England turned towards his brother and glared, "What's 'a bit' mean to you?" He asked.

"So much that I promised I wouldn't say." Scotland smiled. "I can't say more than what she told me to say."

"And you memorised what she told you?" Belarus asked.

"No, she wrote it and I kept the paper and I remembered what she told me to tell you and when I'm supposed to tell you." His smile faded as he pulled out a new cigar, only to have it confiscated by England, "You aren't supposed to smoke in this hotel." He said. Scotland sighed and stood up as he took his cigar back, "Then I'll leave, that way I can smoke on my way home."

"No wait, there's a porch outside." Germany said as he stood to open the doors to the small porch that gave a breathtaking view of a brick wall and a narrow ally down below... Very.. Goddamn breathtaking.

Scotland walked outside to the porch and lit his cigar. He puffed out and turned to his angry little brother, "England." He said slowly, "Do you remember what the name of this pirate girl was?" Scotland asked.

Everyone looked over at England as he boldly responded, "____ _____. Her name was ______ ______!"

Scotland shook his head with a light chuckle, "No England. You are remembering the ____ who was recently here with all of you. I am talking about the pirate girl in the past that you knew."

England's eyes widened slightly, "Are you calling me a liar? If so-" he was quickly cut off by Scotland, "You never knew the pirate girl's real name, England. She never told you!"
