Prince!Calum was known as a partier. He was seen on the cover of newspapers almost weekly with a new scandal about him. You see, you were friends with Calum since you two were kids. Your mother was the head baker and since you lived in the castle you two would often hang out. This was years ago, before school started and you left the palace while he stayed inside for his studies. Though he was second born, after his sister, he was set to take the throne at 25, like his father, but before that he had to find someone to marry. As Calum's 20th birthday was next month, you and your mother thought well and hard about what you were going to make. His favorite flavors were simple so there always had to be something special about the cake that he would like. It wasn't often that he, or his sister would come into the bakery to grab something to eat, but it was even more rare when the king or queen did. But that had just happened and you were afraid. Did you make something wrong? Are you going to get kicked out of the palace? Where was your mother, you were left in charge of the bakery for the day since she had to go run some errands, and on the day the queen comes in, you have no one else to talk to her for you. "(Y/N)? Are you busy I have to talk to you." Oh no what did you do. "Absolutely you majesty." you replied putting the cupcakes you were making into he oven. "Your mum and I have been talking since Calum's birthday is in a few weeks. Since he is 20 it has to be extravagant." she started. "Yes your majesty, my mum and I have decided to use his favorite cake and frosting to make a 6 tier cake with fresh fruit in the frosting." you replied a lot less nervous. This meeting was for cake, or so you thought"Dear that sounds wonderful! But that isn't what i need to talk to you about. As you know, Calum is set to take the throne at 25. Before now and his 22nd he has to find and marry his bride, and since he has brought no one that his father and I find suitable to be queen. I thought of you. He misses you, you know. Anyway I think you'd make a wonderful queen, Mali always tells me that she sees you at the soup kitchen handing out food to those in need. Just let me know your decision by Christmas." She said and exited. The queen wanted you to marry her son, and you had 8 days to make your decision.
