Aahana entered the building and saw that quite a few young boys and girls were sitting on the chairs provided and they all looked nervous anxiously waiting to be told what to do next. I too went that way sat on an empty chair waiting like them for someone who could help and guide us.

Our wait was soon over as we saw a lady with a smile on her face approaching us. Looking at her closely she appeared to be in her mid 40's introducing herself as Ms. Banerjee( a very common last name with Bengalis) also told us that during the entire training period would be under her supervision. Thus, we could always approach her whenever the need be and also showed us where to find her.
She then took us to a room which had a huge table in the middle and on the table there were empty glasses covered with coasters. The room also had a projector and the various phones were connected to a huge phone kept in the middle of the table. CCTV cameras were installed on either side of the walls and Ms. Banerjee informed us that all activities are closely monitored by Mr. Singhania who does all this just sitting in the cabin.
She handed us our joining letters along with two sets of 4 to 5 sheets that were stapled together informing us that we needed to complete the joining formalities and hand one document to her after having filled in all the details asked.
She then proceeded to explaining the company's policies, what they expect from us and what we can expect in return. After being done with introductions and all the formalities we were then taken to Mr. Singhania's cabin so that he could meet us. The company believed in open door policy ie; one could freely walk up to Mr. Singhania if need be however maintaining the hierarchy was a mandate.

Hence, we followed Ms. Banerjee who led us to a door that was hard to notice as it camouflaged with the walls which were done in shades of grey. Once we entered his cabin we were awestruck as it was huge and we immediately noticed his huge table which had a huge T.V that showed all activities within the premises. A computer sat on one corner of the table, a black phone with intercom facility and a brown chair on the other end of the table were all placed in one corner of the room.
On the other corner there was a coffee table in the middle surrounded by by sofas on either side not forgetting a small table top on top of which Mr. Singhania's laptop and various documents were kept.
Ms. Banerjeee informed him about her arrival and he got up from his chair almost immediately taking long strides towards us.

He welcomed us all to his company and smiled at each one of us on being introduced by Ms. Banerjee.
However, when she was about to introduce me I all of a sudden had this jittery feeling that what if dad had decided to forget our small discussion we had the previous night and disclose my identity but, when he just gave me a cordial smile like the rest I heaved a sigh of relief. We then exited his cabin and Ms.Banerjee informed us that we could now to and eat lunch but not before telling us to meet at the reception post lunch.
We soon finished our lunch and waited for her at the mentioned place and within a few minutes she then took us to meet the person who would be training us. His name was Mr. Sundaram and he got to business immediately. Time seems to fly when you are having a good time as soon it was time for us to leave. I booked an Uber for myself and left the building when the car arrived with a happy smile though tired.
I was waiting to reach home so could share the day's happenings with my loving family not anticipating that I was in for a surprise.

The door was opened by mom who immediately informed me about the guest we have over for the night and that it is our duty to make him feel at home.
I gulped a glass of water, making my way to the living room with a smile on my face to make this person who ever he is feel at home.

Man! seemed as if I was in for a shock as standing in front of me was the person with whom oops sorry his car I had a collision with this fateful morning.

I immediately mouthed "YOU! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU IN MY HOUSE FOR. GET OUT IMMEDIATELY ". Hearing my raised voice my mom came out from the kitchen and told me to calm down. I didn't say anything further but threw daggers at him with my looks. Soon dad too had come home and we had dinner in silence. My mom informed me that Dev( that was his name), the person who had almost jeopardized my career would be staying with us for the night and it was my duty to make him feel at home.

I was about to protest but, my dear brother(Rudra) came to my rescue and told my mother that he would do the needful. Since Dev didn't have clothes to change into he was given Rudra's night clothes as they were of the same built. He was shown the guest room and we all retired for the night.
