A visit to the doctor

Dev Aahana after having enjoyed their romantic date were back home in the wee hours of the morning,heading straight to their room wanting to hit the sack so as to get some sleep and Aahana was the first to fall asleep. Dev who was busy speculating things was wide awake sleep being the last thing in his mind, all thoughts centered around just one question could she or couldn't she?
He knew that unless they confirm it nothing can be said for sure but, he didn't know why he was positive that they were going to be parents again and thus, not being able to bear this any longer rushed downstairs to share his anxiety with his mother who he was sure would be awake by now. Well, Riddhi was sitting in her usual calm posture obviously not expecting Dev to be down so early as she was aware that they weren't home before the early morning and this made her worried but, seeing the happy look on her son's face relaxed her. Dev not being able to control himself anymore told his mother that since yesterday he has this strong feeling about Aahana being pregnant again,telling her everything from the start making sure not to miss out any details and after having told his mom everything he wanted which made him reach this conclusion made Riddhi agree with her son. She then told her son that if God wants this news will definitely be true and nothing can be better but, they shouldn't be excited so soon especially when they are not even sure and they cannot get excited based on mere intuition post which he told Riddhi that today itself he is taking Aahana for a check up so they can be sure about it and headed towards his room. He was expecting to see the sleeping figure of Aahana but, when she wasn't there he thought of the obvious place ie, the washroom and once outside he thought of knocking the door in order to ask Aahana to open the door but,he didn't need to do anything of the sorts as the door was flung open by an excited Aahana, as the pregnancy test kit showed positive making her wanting to jump in joy. Well, she knew that unless the doctor confirms there was no point in getting excited over it and at the same time being fully aware of the fact that she couldn't disagree with the signals her body was giving her which she told Dev. Hearing this, Dev could only say that the only way to be sure is to get it confirmed by a doctor and thus, without wasting another minute both got ready in no time to go see a doctor. On their way they first went to tell Riddhi about it who told Aahana that Dev had already told her everything in the morning and now looking at her face, she too had started to believe that the news is indeed true, though they should get it confirmed by a doctor. She then kissed Aahana on the forehead telling them to call her irrespective of the news post which Dev and Aahana made their way to the nearest hospital.
They soon reached the hospital,heading straight to the doctor who did all the tests and asked them to wait for the results which would take some time. Dev Aahana thought it best to sit right outside the doctor's chamber so they could enter as soon as the results were ready.
The wait seemed longer than anticipated,making them grown more anxious with each passing minute to the point they couldn't bear the wait any longer. Well, they were about to enter the doctor's cabin when the nurse approached them saying the doctor is now ready to see them. Aahana was clutching her husband's hands tightly who just smiled at her reassuringly and with all kinds of thoughts creating a havoc in their brains they entered the doctor's cabin hopeful. The doctor asked them to take a seat and then told them that the results are positive; Aahana is indeed three weeks pregnant. He also told them that this time though extra care and precaution was needed as Aahana has already had a miscarriage once and in order to avoid history from being repeated they had to be really careful. Hearing this Dev assured the doctor that he would make sure that everything will be done as per the advice of the doctors and that he wouldn't let anything happen to their baby.
The doctor then prescribed some medicines for Aahana and after fixing their next appointment told them that they could now go home.
Dev called his mother immediately after they exited the chamber and needless to say that this news made Riddhi really happy. Next they called up Aahana's parents telling them about the news, Dev not expecting that he would be startled hearing his mom in law scream out of happiness but, one which was powerful enough to make anyone jump in their place.
Dev thanked Aahana for making him a father once again and also told her that with just weeks left for his birthday he has got the best gift she could have given him and he cannot thank her enough.
They soon reached home where Riddhi was waiting for them and she hugged both at the same time blessing them with happiness. Suddenly Dev realized that they had informed everyone except Rudra and who would kill him if not told that he was going to be an uncle soon. So, they called up Rudra who was really excited to hear the news telling them that he will come to see them in the evening all happy for Dev and Aahana at the same time each had their own separate reasons too as they would each enter a new phase of life.
The whole house was filled with happiness,sounds of laughter and merriment as the moment they all were waiting was finally here. Now there was no looking back for them and only good things would happen from now on.
