Dev has finally been discharged from the hospital and is now on his way home, excitement and happiness evident on his face, mind filled with questions for which he needed answers from Aahana but, most importantly he just wanted to hug her, feel her, hear her voice and just be with her. Dev was now starting to get impatient and being stuck in the city's traffic was slowing his reunion with his wife but, there was nothing he could do.
Dev was pulled out from his chain of thoughts when he realized that his mother was talking to him. He hugged his mother and thought that probably now she might tell him something about Aahana. He had in fact just uttered her name when he was interrupted by Aryan who in a stern voice told him:” Son just like when you are given a puzzle to solve you get down in finding the missing pieces and as the missing pieces are revealed the puzzle starts to become clear, similarly is the way with life where you have to find the answers yourself”. Hearing these philosophical words from his father he knew that now he shouldn't be asking any further questions and decided to engage in casual talks with his mother.
Soon, they reached home and on entering Dev had this odd feeling of something horribly wrong for the whole house was eerily quiet. He thought maybe tired from the day's activities his wife and children must be tired and thus, decided to call it a night a little early. However, his mind wasn't ready to buy this fact and just kept telling him that something is wrong. Dev somehow managed to calm his mind that all this was simply because he had come back after what seemed like decades but, mind reminded him about what Aryan had told in the car when they were on their way home but Dev again shunned all these thoughts from his mind and made his way towards his room. Riddhi and Snigdha who were fearing this wanted to stop Dev from going to his room but, decided against it when their husbands told them that sooner or later Dev has to come to terms with the bitter truth and the sooner it happens the better.

Dev had reached his room and flung the door open, eyes searching for her. Well, when he did see her he rushed towards her; stoked but, the sight that met his eyes well, shocked him beyond imagination and he rushed down to his parents hoping the girl wasn't his Aahana and that all this was just a prank.
One look at his face and all present in the hall knew what he had just witnessed. Dev scanned all faces hoping at least one would tell him all this is a prank and that Aahana would come in front out of nowhere. But, when all faces were filled with remorse he understood that all this was a reality and dropped down on the ground.
