Aryan as per the promise made to his wife Riddhi, was accompanying her to the hospital the following day. Well, the reason was simple enough ie, it was becoming hard for Riddhi to answer Dev's questions which seemed never ending and at times left her spell bounded.
Not that his going would stop Dev from asking questions that were centered around Aahana but, having her husband with her would be an additional support which was the need of the hour for Riddhi. Dev was happy on seeing his dad and they exchanged hugs talking normally for sometime.
Aryan thought that probably the unwanted question would not crop up today but, he realized he had probably thought that too soon for the very next second Dev started asking about Aahana's whereabouts and just like his wife,Aryan too was dumbstruck. They exchanged knowing glances with Aryan trying to divert Dev's mind hoping this would buy them time but, all his efforts were in vain as Dev refused to deviate from the topic. Now, Dev couldn't be blamed for till now Aahana hadn't visited him even once nor spoken to him and no matter what Riddhi or any of his family members told him Dev knew something was not right rather, he felt it in every true sense. However, why were they hiding the truth from him was what he failed to understand which drove him further down the lane of suspicion but, he chose to wait for the right time as he knew his parents would tell him things sooner or later and post which he asked to be left alone as he felt tired. Thus, his parents left the hospital heaving a sigh of relief thinking they have managed yet again to dodge Dev's questions, completely unaware of the suspicions that were slowly making its way in Dev's mind.
Time like they say is the best healer and which proved to be true in this case. Two months and a few weeks have passed since Dev has come out from coma and his progress really impressed the doctor who informed them that the day after tomorrow they can take Dev home. This was what all had been waiting for and the family members were really happy to hear this news. Dev having learnt from the doctor that he was going to be discharged made him really happy for he wanted to see his wife, hold her,hug her and their children; a smile having crept on his face.
The day was finally here ie, the day when Dev was to be discharged and both the families were there in the hospital,a smile on everyone's face and at the same time dreading Dev's reaction when he would face reality. The reality which was not at all pleasant but, rather horrifying. However, to turn this horrifying reality into a pleasant one was what they all had been waiting for since four years not forgetting the additional two months and few weeks of post coma treatment at the hospital. This unachievable feat could only be made into reality by Dev and knowing this would soon come true had more weight than the reality.
Let's just pray to God to give Dev the strength to face things.
