Healing Her Broken Heart

To parenthood

The nurse after a brief moment had to take the babies away from Dev who couldn't help but,keep looking at his two little angels,eyes filled with love and emotion written all over his face; his heart didn't want to give them back to the nurse however he knew that it was necessary and he reluctantly gave them to the nurse. The nurse gave a knowing nod and walked away leaving an emotional Dev behind. Aryan who some years ago was in the same situation as his son laid a hand on his son's shoulders saying that he shouldn't fret as soon he would be with Aahana and his children and Dev just nodded.
Aahana had now been shifted to the room all  gathered around her waiting for her to open her eyes. After some minutes Aahana slowly opened her eyes asking the first question which was “ My babies. Where are they?” and as if on cue the nurse entered carrying her babies,their eyes closed. The nurse handed them to Aahana and seeing her babies she became emotional placing them on her side so she could look at them together. She noticed their tiny feet,hands,legs and their faces captivated her. She was lost in her babies making her oblivious to the surroundings at the same time the fact that she too needed rest post delivery was something that she chose to pay no heed to.
The nurse put the children in a cradle placed close to Aahana's bed and after having showered blessings on the babies Dev and Aahana were asked if they had names for their son and daughter and both nodded in Yes. ( Aahana and Dev in unison)
“ Our son will be called Reyansh and daughter Ishika” which was followed by loud claps. All loved the names they had thought of, the room filled with sounds of “ Welcome to the family dear Reyansh and Ishika. We love you our little angels”.  Saying this they all left the room so as to give Dev and Aahana some time alone.
Once, alone Dev locked the room and hugged Aahana breaking it only to thank her for giving him such precious gifts. He told her that he was well aware that now her responsibilities would increase as she might have to up multiple times during the night to attend to their babies needs. Well, she wouldn't be alone in this as he too would get up with her to attend to their babies or they could take turns also but, whatever it is she would always find him besides her. Aahana hugged her husband and kissed him all over the face post which she told him that she knows how lucky she us to have him as her husband, who is always there for her and who has her back like a pillar. He is the reason for the smile on her face, her support system, her life and most importantly for completing her by making her become a mother. She also added further that everything else is secondary to her and her full time will be centered around Reyansh and Ishika and they were now in each other's arms which was broken by the persistent knocks on the door.
Dev went to open the door to be congratulated by the doctor who told him that he could take Aahana and his children home the next day. Riddhi and Snigdha were happy on becoming
Dadi and Nani respectively. Rudra had now become a Mama, Aryan and Sanjeev grandparents. The Singhania's and Agarwals were happy that a new and exciting chapter had been added to their book of life.
