Dev's Surprise

Dev Aahana are soon going to enter the into the sixth month of their marriage.Aahana has won the hearts of her in-laws becoming the apple of their eyes. Aryan and Riddhi see the daughter they never had in Aahana who always says that she is probably the luckiest girl to be getting the love from two parents(her own and the parents she sees in her in-laws).
Riddhi and Aahana together managed the household. However, there was a hint of sadness in Aahana's eyes which she couldn't hide from Dev but whenever he asked her she would always avoid it and went about her business like nothing is wrong.
Things went on like this until one day the whole house noticed that something was bothering Aahana but as usual she chose to remain quiet. Now all this was becoming too much for Dev and he decided to just put an end to whatever it was. Well, since today was a holiday he had a lot of time to speak to Aahana and let her vent out. Thus, after breakfast he took Aahana to their room and making her sit on the bed told her to just spill the beans regarding whatever is bothering her. He also told her that he has a surprise for her and which he would disclose only if she would first tell him what has been bothering her for such a long time.
Now, she wasn't left with much choice for reasons that she loved her hubby's surprises and two Dev had her rooted in place under his concerned but strict gaze. She knew that she would need to tell him only then would he let her go.
Well, now it's time for the cat to be out of the box ie, the reason for Aahana's sadness.
"Dev you have given me everything I wanted,I've found a friend in my husband and everyone loves me a lot which has made it easy for me and I don't miss my parents as much as I would have had it been the other way around. However, I don't know why I feel as if my life is without any direction and a part of me is missing. I am not being able to understand anything and this is adding salt to my injury. Nothing seems to be working out and why should they when I only don't know what is wrong, just that I am not my normal self and little things peeves me.
I would really be grateful to anyone who could ease me out from this dilemma"( and she breaks down).

Seeing this state of hers Dev's is about to die a thousand death but he knows he has to be strong in front of her.
Thus, firstly he wipes her tears and once Aahana has sobered down a little he starts to speak.
" Jaan, you know seeing you in this vulnerable state my heart was breaking into pieces each time but at least I am glad that you did decide to speak(winks). Well, I think I know what's been bothering you since long and which brings me to the surprise part.
(Dragging her by her hands he takes her towards the farthest corner of the floor and they are now in front of a huge room where all the materials she would need to pursue her dream of jewellery designing are kept).
Well, my world I know what your dreams and ambitions mean to you and I will not let anyone take that away from you. I had planned this long ago not talking about it because I thought that probably you needed some time. I have been silently observing you since the last couple of days and wifey let me tell you that your husband knows you and matters of your heart better than you. So,next time you know that you cannot hide things from me and I am very hurt that you chose to do so"(makes a very cute pout). Seeing all the efforts he has put in just to see a smile on her face she takes him in a bone crashing hug and kisses his pout literally jumping with joy. Dev has his arms snaked around her and she is about to kiss him for the second time when she hears the approaching sound of footsteps and they draw apart. Soon, the figures of Aryan and Riddhi can be seen and they both applaud Dev who then tells Aahana that he has been helped in all this by his parents.
Well, more by Riddhi who had spoken to her parents keeping them in the loop. Aryan also told Aahana that he was very happy that she wants to start her own business and they all would be there to support her in any way they could.
Hearing this an already emotional Aahana took them all in a hug thanking the almighty silently for giving her such a loving family.
She then told them that she would start working from home tomorrow itself as she has everything she would initially need in her workshop.
Since, the next day was a working day and a new day for Aahana they all went to sleep a little early than usual.
Aahana couldn't wait to pursue her passion again. Thus, with a happy heart she dozed off hugging her hubby.
