The drive was silent. As I had no intention of starting up pointless conversation. Whatever we said, from now on, I wanted it to be meaningful.
Pulling into the parking lot of her haven, she instantly lit up before dimming down with a touch of suspicion. "Wait.. Why are we here?" I lightly chuckled at her suspicion.
"Well, it's not Halloween, so you don't have to worry about that if that's what's scaring you. No one is going to just jump out and scare you. I promise." I smile in reassurance to her. And after a moment, she trusted me.I got out the car to open her door, which slightly surprised her because I usually only do that on special occasions. Offering her my hand, she took it after a bit of hesitation. As we began to walk together through the garden entrance, she began to come out of her shell even more. I watched very closely as she breathed every sigh with a smile and touched every petal of every flower.
For, if she were a goddess, the buds would surely bloom at her touch.
Upon stooping down to smell another flower, it was instinctive for me to pull her hair back off of her face so that it wouldn't block her view of the flower.
What are you doing?
You gave him your word!Blinking viciously, I casted my gaze away from her and backed up once she fully stood. Keeping my hands behind my back, we walked. Through the roses, I also admired their beauty.
The red..
The white..
Yellow and pink..
All so precious and beautifully unique in their own special way..
But nothing compared to my girl..
My girl?
"Jun." Her voice snapped me out of my thoughts. My eyes instantly meeting hers. The look was intense. "Why did you bring me here?"
"I just wanted to bring you someplace special. Um.." I choked. "Someplace I knew that would make you happy. I wanted to see you smile the way you did the last time we were here again. I never want to see you be sad again. So for right now, lets just be happy. Be happy with me and we'll be our true selves here as if the world couldn't find us." I grabbed her hands, looking deeply into her eyes. "Can we do that?" nodding, she slowly slid her gaze away from me, but I caught it before it could fully blow away. Smiling at her, she returned the favor accompanied by a laugh.
"Okay."
"Let's go." I said, pulling her by the hand back to the car where I popped the trunk to get the blankets.
"You came prepared." she smiled. I just simply smiled back as I carried the blankets to the perfect spot to gaze up at the clouds. Laying down, I waited for her but she was still standing. So, I put my hand out for her to take and pulled her down next to me.Her hand on my chest, our eyes locked on each other and the magnet even stronger than before. I wanted so desperately to kiss her. My hand reached up to push her hair back behind her ear when she flinched and laid down next to me like a soldier.
After a while of pointing out cloud shapes, I looked over at her. "Are you doing anything tomorrow?"
"Yeah.. I told Mira that Id help her out by setting up the decorations at the venue."
"Wow.."
"What?"
"Nothing." I smiled, shaking my head and grabbing hold of her hand. Her lungs filled up with a lot of air before releasing all prisoners from within her. I looked over at her.
"I just can't believe it's really happening.." her hand flew up to her heart. I knew it hurt. She was just trying not to cry. I rolled over onto my side, pulling her close to me and kissing her forehead.
"I'm sorry I asked.. Please don't cry. Just think happy thoughts."
"Its fine. I'm fine. Don't worry about me, Jun." she smiled before hugging me. "Thank you.""Would you like to walk around for a bit?" she nodded in response. I got up and held my hand out again. When she took it, I pulled her so that we were in a hug. "So.." I started, pulling away to look at her face. "Which part of the gardens is your favorite?"
She showed me various parts of the gardens, claiming all and none to be her favorite. Her calm and lively nature truly shining.
This is where she thrives.
Sharing these moments with you,
Makes me cherish you more..It haunted me. But I didn't let his words or mine interrupt our smiles.
I enjoyed chasing and tickling her when I caught up to her. Holding her while rocking back and forth with her was the best part. It gave me a taste of what its truly like..
What it's truly like to love her.
Placing my cheek on her head, savoring the moment..
That was more than enough for me..
If only it could last forever..
Heading back to the car to grab lunch, an idea popped into my head.
Why stop there?
So, I set up the blankets in her backyard after dinner and brought her out there with me.
"Why stop at the clouds when you can look up at the stars?" Extending my hand out, I gave her the invitation.
Patiently, with a smile, I waited.
